Those of you that have read my last review on gourmet coffee can pretty much tell that I just love my coffee. If you haven’t read that review I suggest you check it out especially if you’re a coffee lover like myself. Another beverage that my husband and I truly enjoy is tea.
Not just any tea but flavored herbal teas. My husband is more of the tea connoisseur but I have a soft spot for it second to coffee of course. Now we have tried teas from many different sources. Boxed teas from supermarkets, delis, and health food stores. As well as loose teas from various gourmet locations and mail order teas from online.
Recently a company called Beau-Coup contacted us about reviewing one of their products. Beau-Coup.com or (beaucoup) is an online retailer that specialized in party favors, gifts, and a whole lot more. Their slogan is “Celebrating Life One Event at a Time”. When you visit their website you will see sections for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays and more occasions. Under the “more occasions” section I found links for baptisms & christenings, graduations, corporate events, bar and bat mitzvahs and more. You name it they pretty much have a section for it. After perusing their site for a while I have to say they offer some pretty cool items to help you celebrate your special event.
Anyway I digress. Let me get back to why they contacted me, which has to do with tea. On their site they sell this brand of gourmet teas made by Tea Forte. They sent me their Coconut Tea Sachet Collection Assortment and two ceramic tea bag trays.
The teas arrived in a nice decorative rectangular box.
When I opened the box I was greeted by the delicious odor of coconut and some interesting tall triangular tea boxes (silken infusers). Inside each of these triangular tea boxes is a tall triangular tea bag. The tea flavors that were included in the box were: 6 Coconut Chair Latte, 6 Coconut Chocolate Truffle and 8 Coconut Mango Colada. Each tea bag should yield two cups of tea. That is according to their instructions. I was actually able to make 3-4 cups of tea with each tea bag. The tea bags are unique as they maintain their triangular form even after they are submerged in boiling water. They also have a very interesting string with a mini-leaf attached to the bag. Check out the pics to understand what I am talking about.
So you’re probably wondering what the flavor was like. And I will tell you. It was good, real good. Even when making a 4th cup of tea with one of the tea bags the flavor was still strong enough but very pleasant. All of the flavors that my husband and I tried were very pleasant and vibrant. My favorite has to be the coconut chai latte. It was so good it didn’t need any sugar or honey added to it. I also liked the ingredients. They are made of ALL Organic Ingredients: Black or Green tea, ginger root, cinnamon, coconut pieces, cardamon seeds, orange peels, mango pieces…and so on…All ingredients were natural and organic.
I look forward to using the rest of these teas over the next week or so. They are going to offer several evenings of relaxation and enjoyment.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
