We have exciting news to share, P. King Duckling is now streaming on Netflix! A few months ago we wrote a post about this show which features the adventures of a silly duckling and his 2 best buddies! With the kiddos out of school for the Thanksgiving break and a house full of family visiting from out of state it got pretty wild at my parents house this week! At one point, we needed the kids to settle so it could be quiet enough for the little ones to nap. We connected here to Netflix and found P. King Duckling as an option. Since we had reviewed it in the past, had a chance to share the good news about it now being on Netflix and the cousins hadn’t heard of it they voted to watch it!
We are so excited to share this news with you that we are also doing a giveaway! TWO lucky winners will win a $25 Target gift card each and 1 winner will receive a P. King Duckling plush toy gift pack and a $25 target gift card! Read on to learn more!
What is P. King Duckling?
P. King Duckling episodes follow him, a slightly hapless duck, Wombat and Chumpkins. They encounter challenges as they go along but often fine creative and hilarious ways to overcome them! I really like how this show teaches good manners, positive thinking in tough spots, and doesn’t portray bad attitudes. My 3 year old picks up on attitudes that she views on TV. I carefully screen what she watches since I want a 3 year old, not a threenager. P. King Duckling gets my stamp of approval!
The main character has the utmost confidence in himself. I love that even though my kids are watching something funny they are also viewing valuable underlying lessons. There are lessons of self confidence, reaching for dreams, imagining, tackling life’s obstacles with a creative frame or mind, and being positive. The quirky town these characters live in is called Hilly Hole. The town is bright and colorful which catches and keeps the attention of even the littlest ones!
Our opinions on the show:
Although this show is geared towards 3-6 year old children we had fourteen “cousins” ages 8 months to 13 years totally enthralled with the wild adventures of P. King and his friends! The room was filled with laughter during the first episode. After it was over some of the older ones were quoting lines from the show. I wasn’t surprised when they asked if they could watch another one. After a while we sent them outside to play, which didn’t last long as it was 18 degrees Fahrenheit outside. When they came back in, I found the 4 oldest girls ages 9-13 wrapped up in blankets downstairs watching…..you guessed it….P. King Duckling! My 12 year old niece said, “This show is hilarious and addicting!” My 9 year old said, “That duck cracks me up!”
The next day, a few of the littler ones asked to watch the duckling show again & the big kids joined! I am so glad it is on Netflix now and I can stream it whenever we want rather than waiting for it to come on at a scheduled time on TV!
