A VIVO Mask Will Complete Your Costume!

A mask can make or break your costume and can take your “look” to a whole new level. If you are looking for the perfect mask, you need to check out VIVO Masks! VIVO makes handmade Venetian Masks. Made by Italian artists who have been trained in traditional techniques that have been used for hundreds of years. Due to the masks origination, they are beautifully crafted and often win “best mask” awards at Masquerade parties. Masks can be shipped to your home in as little as 2 days! VIVO Masks offered to send me a mask to try. Immediately, my friend Kristin, popped into my head. She always has the BEST costumes and I wondered if she’d like to try one out.

Meet Kristin:

My name is Kristin, and I am an elementary teacher.

We, as a school, have a lot of fun dressing up for the Halloween party we have every year. I love to be creative with my costumes. For instance, I was planning on re-purposing an Ursula type costume as a masquerade ball gown this year. It was very surprising to me when my friend, Cj, asked if I wanted to review a Venetian mask by the VIVO Masks Company. I thought for a moment, she read my mind. I was extremely excited to have an opportunity to check out the masks on the website for my Halloween costume.

Kristin’s thoughts on her VIVO Mask:

I looked through most, if not all of the masks. The website is very well put together. It is easy to navigate and there is a wide variety of masks to choose from. You can sort the masks in many ways. By style, color, price range, most popular, men’s, and by women’s for example. After looking through more masks, I found one that jumped out at me in the right price range. The Spanish language and culture has always fascinated me, even in my childhood. In college I earned a second major in Spanish. In short, I saw a Día de los Muertos mask and was hooked.

The mask came in a normal cardboard box with paper filling to protect the mask. It was securely and nicely packaged. As a result, it came without being broken, ripped, or smashed. A note also came, certifying the mask was actually made in Italy. It looks and feels authentic!

First, lets talk about it’s quality. The mask itself is made almost like a papier-mâché mask. In the past, I have bought masks from Venice. For this reason, I can confidently say, the quality of this one is astounding. I love the hand painted feel. It gives me a sense that I am helping someone who actually worked on the mask and not just machines mass producing the products. Second, let’s talk about the fit. It fits well on my head and the ribbon on the side is easy to tie and keeps the mask in place. The ribbons are soft and smooth. Overall, product quality is fantastic. Some of my students wanted to try it on too!
