Light up your child’s room with Playbrites!

Playbrites are one of those toys that I WISH I would have had as a child! The Playbrites toy/light comes in 6 different varieties and cast a light show on your child’s ceiling. In addition to that it is also fun to play with. Your child can add eyes, ears, and other features to their Playbrites light toys! My 7 year old received the Bunny Playbrite for her birthday to review!

Playbrites Overview

As mentioned earlier there are 6 different types. Dragon, unicorn, bunny, puppy, kitty, and shark. Here is what the bunny one looks like in it’s packaging.

Playbrites in box

Once out of the packaging, all the pieces are self contained inside the Playbrite! I LOVE this feature! No mess!

The pieces of the Playbrites are interchangeable with other Playbrites. This can make for some fun creations by your child if there are two Playbrites in the house!

The first thing my daughter wanted to do was assemble the pieces and make the bunny appear! It was adorable!

Then we attached the handle. The handle is easy to take on and off and makes it easy to carry around. That makes for easy travel if you want to take it on the road!

Playbrites off

Then we added the batteries, pressed the top of it’s head and…..Voila!Playbrites bunny with handle turned on

This produced a excited gasp from both my 3 and 7 year olds! We tapped on the head gently to change the color.

It changes between 6 different colors! Which is accommodating to my 7 year old’s constant changing of her favorite color!

This is the perfect night light because it can be used 2 different ways. When the top cover is on, it is a muted, colorful light. It didn’t cause any complaints from her older sister that she shares a room with. When the top cover is off, it projects shapes onto the ceiling!

It also lights up the wall a little bit! This is why I wish I had it when I was a kid. How fun does that look?

Before we had this Playbrite we had a tricky situation. My 10 year old did not like light in the room and my 7 year old desperately wanted a light in the room at bedtime. Because it had options for colors and shapes or no shapes on the ceiling, my 10 year old actually really liked the light! Plus this has an automatic shut off feature! MOM WIN!

Where to buy Playbrites

Playbrites are available on their website or on Amazon Prime*. They sell between$16.99-$19.99. You’ve got to see the unicorn one, it is so cute! These are recommended for ages 3 and up, just due to the removable pieces. This makes a great inexpensive birthday gift! Which one would your kiddo like most? Leave me a blog post comment telling me which one!
