A safe way to bath your newborn baby! Angelcare Baby Bath Support {Review & Giveaway}

07/07/2014 By Irina 41 Comments

angel-care-review-giveawayOne of my babies most favorite time of day is bath time. He loves being put into the warm water to relax. I’m sure it reminds him of his days in the womb, I mean he did live there for 9 months!

My little guy is 2 months old and still can’t sit in the tub alone. I have two kids and I don’t like that I have HAD to give 2 separate baths because I only had a baby bath tub, and it was just too large to fit in the tub while my 2 year old bathed. (Plus it wasn’t safe at ALL, it wobbled a ton once water was in the tub.)

I decided there had to be a way to get my 2 month old and 2 year old to bath at the same time.

What product would help me overcome this extra 15 minutes that I could use towards something else?

The Angelcare Baby Bath Support is what I found to help me with my 2 newborn and toddler bathing situation. Check it out!

angel-care-room-for-2-in-tub2 kids in the tub at the same time! Angelcare has officially made bath time on this Mom a lot easier! Thanks!

angel-care-babyThere are many great features of the Angelcare baby bath support. I am going to share with you a few of my favorites. The baby bath support is in a downward slope to make sure your baby’s head is completely above water.

angel-care-holderMy first and foremost favorite part of the bath is the hook on the back of the bath support. The hook is there to make storage easy.

I also think it helps keep the bath support clean. Because my old baby bath tub was so large, we never knew where to put it in our teeny tiny bathroom. Most of the time it was set right beside the toilet, because it was the only sport that wasn’t in the way.

The hook is holding up well and our new bath isn’t by the toilet anymore. Hallelujah!

angel-care-fullAnother feature is the soft mesh backing. This is the part the baby lays on. It is very soft and comfortable for my son. There are 2 reasons I LOVE the mesh backing.

1. It is breathable for my son. He is comfortable in it and enjoys it.

2. It makes it VERY hard for mildew and mold to grow on the tub. The tub literally dries 10 minutes after you drain the tub. Which is perfect for me! I am able to get both my kids dried off, lotioned up, and dressed in that 10 minutes. Once I am done with it I go and take the bath support out of the tub without any water dripping on me.

Is this bath support convincing you to get one yet?! Just wait…

angel-care-backThe bath support also has a handle on each side of it, and one on the back as well. This makes it extremely light weight. It also makes moving the support in the tub a lot easier. Since the baby bath support is so light that just makes moving the tub easy all around.

angel-care-sideThere is a silicone bottom which prevents the baby bath support from moving by movements of your child laying in it. The silicone also makes it easy for me to move it slides easily when I put a little more force into it. This is a GREAT feature and also a tricky one. You may wonder how it is meant to make it slide easily, but also able to be safe and not move when the baby is in the tub. I’m not sure how it works, but it does, and I am completely satisfied with that reason. 🙂

toddler-in-bathThe weight limit on the bath support is up to 30 lbs. My toddler was able to sit in it. Although she was too tall she was still able to sit in it, since she only weighs 23 pounds.

There was just one thing I didn’t even think about before seeing this tub. The bath support doesn’t  cover the baby very much. I filled the tub up high for my toddler and had to stop the water because it was almost touching he bottom of his head. Be aware of this. It is something that I didn’t know about and at first I thought it was odd that my babies legs were barely covered with water.

angel-care-test-baby-boy

I finally realized that it was meant for the baby to barely be covered with water. It’s a baby bath support. So it’s meant for short baths to just clean up your baby. This bath would be great for newborns. You can even bath your baby with an umbilical cord as well with this tub, because of the slanted support.

This baby bath support is great and I can now successfully bathe my 2 year old and 2 month old at the same time!

If you are interested in purchasing the Angelcare baby bath support you can buy it anywhere from $22-$30 depending on where you purchase it.

This bath would be great for newborns. You can even bath your baby with an umbilical cord as well with this tub, because of the slanted support. This also would be nice to bath all three children at once (6, 3, & newborn).

I love the fact that this bath is for a newborn. I have a newborn and I can’t give her a bath until her umbilical cord falls off so I like the fact with this bath support, I can.

I was shocked to see that the baby is not suppose to be in much water. The mesh sling thing we have you can submerge the baby to his tummy, I hate it though it’s a royal pain in the bum.

I love that it dries quickly and you could use it to wash a newborn at the same time as an older child. That would be such a huge help!

I liked that the bath support helped you bathe your 2 month old and 2 year old at the same time. I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old and it would save me a ton of time each day to bathe them both at once.
