I was sitting at work the other day and was getting very stressed out. I just wanted to be laying on a tropical island with a pinã colada in one hand and a book in the other. Unfortunately I just took my vacation and am due one for another 6 months. So I either have to learn how to deal with the stress of working for an incompetent boss or find another job. Which is not so easy in this economy.
I have been trying to meditate at work recently with mixed success. One of my friends suggested that I get one of those stress balls. I tried one for a while but ended up getting bored with that. I was at home one weekend playing with my children and my kids were playing with clay. I decided to join in the fun and after a while I realized that molding the clay with my fingers was not only fun but also very calming and therapeutic.
That’s when I went looking on the Internet for some type of stress relieving clay or putty. It wasn’t long before I found Crazy Aaron’s Putty World.
I have to admit the name of the site struck me as odd but at the same time peaked my curiosity. After scrolling down I read on their site that playing with putty can be stress relieving. They call it Thinking Putty and claim that it is non-toxic and does not leave messy residue like clay or other products. I was eager to give it a try so I contacted them to review their putty.
After several days they sent me two cans of their putty. One was a metallic gold looking while the other was Hypercolor in Mistletoe Madness.
When I first opened the can it reminded me of candy taffy. It was a bit stiff and when I pulled it apart it stretched very much like taffy would. After a little bit I began molding the putty into various shapes and stretching it out. I also rolled it up into a little ball and found out that it bounced on the hard floor.
And the best part about it everything that was bothering me at the moment seemed to slip away. It was also very soothing to my fingers and hands. It was like a nice massage exercise session rolled into one. I really enjoyed using Thinking Putty from Crazy Aaron’s Putty. I look forward to bringing it to work for those stressful days.
