What Mom REALLY wants for Christmas!

11/29/2015 By Cj 42 Comments

Share

So what does Mom REALLY want for Christmas? I’ve asked this question to 15 of my fellow Mom friends and we’ve come up with gifts that Mom would really like. You might be surprised with what they said!

What does mom REALLY want for christmas button sm

*A set of knives that actually cut!

Yes, we are serious. When was the last time Mom/your wife had a new set of knives? Mine are about 11 years old and don’t cut worth a darn. Of the 15 ladies I asked, 12 of them said new knifes would be awesome to receive! I bought myself a pretty knife with a colored sheath at the beginning of the year, the knife, cost me $28. I knew there had to be a more affordable option out there in a set. I found a 3 piece set from Kuhn Rikon that caught my eye with not only it’s fun colors but also the awesome price tag! For just $30 you can score this Colori+ culinary knife set! I put these knives to a test (you can see the full review here) and am really impressed. It’s a stainless steel blade, has a non stick coating, and they are designed to stay sharp! I’m thinking I’ll have these knives for a very long time! PS: I am giving away a set of knifes just like the ones pictured below, for FREE! Click my review link posted above to get to the entry form! Good luck!

*A new griddle!

Not to be confused with girdle….Griddle. Most of the Mom’s who requested this item said that theirs was in terrible shape. One or even both handles had broken off, the drip tray was missing, it was just old and took forever to warm up! Check Mom’s griddle and see if she needs a new one!

*A new vacuum!

Several of the ladies I asked said they wanted a new vacuum! I have a cordless Dyson V6 slim vacuum and ADORE it! You can check out my review here!

*A new pair of warm boots!

I’ve searched high and low for a good pair of warm boots and this pair from Lugz has my vote! The acrylic fur is incredibly soft, the tread on the bottom of these boots gives me the confidence I need to walk across the slippery ground, and they are so cute! With a rubberized heel and toe they’ve got all the features to make these a long lasting pair of boots. These retail for $74.99. I’ve been wearing these boots for a couple of weeks and adore them. You can see my full review of these boots here! PS: I am giving away a pair of boots just like the ones pictured below for FREE! Just click that link to my review and you can enter the giveaway!

*A vacuum sealer!

I am a bulk food shopper and so are many of my friends. We live in an oil boom town where grocery prices are outrageous! When chicken is on sale, we don’t just buy 5 lbs, we buy 40 lbs! Making sure it stores well in the freezer and is safe from freezer burn is critical! Many ladies said that a vacuum sealer would hands down be better than wrapping the food items in freezer paper! I totally agree. The Weston Harvest Guard Portable Vacuum Sealer is a super easy to use vacuum sealer that does it’s job quick! I’ve got a special coupon code for my readers to save $50! Click on the link above to score that discount. Valid until December 31st, 2015! Don’t miss out!

*A super soft & super huge warm blanket!

Most of the blankets we have at our house are OLD, not soft, and small! After so many ladies said they’d like a warm, huge, super soft blanket, I went on the hunt to find a good one! American Blanket Company caught my attention with their Luster Loft blankets. I was in absolute AWE when I got my hands on this soft blanket! It is indescribably soft! Think of the softest minky blanket you have ever felt and it is softer than that! In addition to being cozy and luxurious, it is GIANT! It can cover my entire family on the couch with ease! That is, if I want to share it with them. Last night my husband finally got a chance to use the luster loft blanket, he must have said about 8 times, Wow, this blanket is so soft, holy cow, it is SO soft! Over and over! If a super soft blanket might be on the Mom in your life’s list, I recommend the Luster Loft series from American Blanket Company! I am giving away a Luster Loft blanket RIGHT NOW! Please come and read the review for the softest blanket ever and enter via the form by clicking HERE!

*A high capacity stand mixer!

Being limited to small batches is such an inconvenience! That is why this 22 cup stand mixer from WonderMill is AMAZING! If you are going to spend the money on a stand mixer, you want to get the best of the best and this is the best stand mixer I’ve ever used! Check out my full review here!

*A new kitchen trash can!

Yes. Seriously. This was mentioned several times in the responses I got from my little survey. There are some beautiful, fun, unique trash cans out there! My friends just wanted ones with lids so their babies would stay out …. but maybe the Mom in your life wants one too!

*Himalayan Salt Lamp

I’ve got to admit, I had no idea what this was! I had to do a little research. It has quite a few benefits and they are pretty reasonably priced! They can purify the air, help you sleep better, reduce static electricity in the air and more! This was something that a couple of the older Moms I talked to mentioned!

*Something Homemade

It can be a wreath, an apron, a jewelry hanger or even a nice heartfelt handwritten note! There are loads of fun tutorials on our blog and on Pinterest. Get in touch with your creative side and make her something heartfelt!

I hope this list of what Mom really wants for Christmas has gotten your mind going! Please be sure to check out the 3 awesome giveaways we have going on right now for the Stay Sharp Knife Set, Super Soft Blanket, and the Warm Winter Boots!

You are right on the money with these! I would also add toaster, coffee brewer (Keurig or other single/multiple cup brewers), programmable crock pot, and a date night 😉

I love ALL of those ideas for gifts! For me, I want a new coffee maker, but not just any coffee maker…. I want one that can make single cups AND a whole pot of coffee. I’m tired of my old percolator… It makes coffee sometimes…other times, it’s just hot water. I swear the thing had a mind of its own!

Honestly, I don’t need anything. I would love to win either a vacuum for a family who is in need, or the winter boots for a gal who is having terrible medical problems and does not have a pair of winter boots. BTW, she grew up in Montana.
