Kohl’s Disney Sing Your Heart Out Contest #FrozenFunAtKohls

“I participated in an Ambassador campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received promotional items and product samples as a thank you for participating.”

When I was a kid in the distant past, even though it seems like yesterday, the word Disney always put a smile to my face.  Whether it was Disney World, Disney cartoons & movies, Disney characters, or reading my favorite Disney book, I will always have a fondness for the way they made me feel.  Maybe it was stories themselves in how they inspired my imagination and opened me up to this wonderful fantasy world.  All I know is that over the years I can’t really think of anything Disney that I didn’t like.  Now that I have children it has been great sharing the world of Disney with them as well.

One of my daughter’s favorite movies in recent years is the sure to become classic movie “Frozen.”   I cannot tell you enough how many times she broke out into song after watching this wonderful movie.  And I have to admit her singing “Let it Go”, inspired me to sing along as well.  It is a pretty catch tune and once it gets in your head you can’t help but singing it throughout your day.  One of our family’s best moments with the song came at a friend’s karaoke party. Earlier in the evening all the kids sat down and watched “Frozen”, again.  After the movie we decided to have some fun with karaoke.  All the girls took turns belting out “Let it go”.  By the end of the night I think the song was sung about 10 times.  Needless to say the next day all my daughter could talk about was how much she loves the movie “Frozen”.

So what would any mother do after seeing her child so enthusiastic about a topic? Well I went out and got her a bunch of “Frozen” themed things.  First was a copy of the book.  Then I headed over to Kohl’s to get her a cool “Frozen” outfit made in partnership between Jumping Beans and Disney.  Lets just say by the end of the day I had a bunch of “Frozen” themed items and she was so happy.  When I was at Kohl’s shopping I heard about this really cool contest they will be running.  It is called Disney Frozen Friday and it is presented by Kohl’s.

kohls disney contest sing your heart out

Kohl’s Department stores in collaboration with Disney announced a national call for a Sing Your Heart Out contest. Disney “Frozen” fans can submit videos of themselves, their kids, and/or the entire family singing “Let it Go” for the chance to appear in a Kohl’s holiday commercial that will air during the 2014 American Music Awards (AMAs) broadcast.

Contest entry period: Now – through September 29th 2014. So what are you waiting for? Take a video of yourself singing your heart out to Frozen’s “Let It Go,” and you could be one of ten finalists who get to fly to LA to have their video featured on a Kohl’s promotional spot!
