DIY Valentines Day Crafts Ideas

All right its January! The new year is here, the holidays are over and done with.  This is the time of the year that some of us make resolutions and some of us get depressed that it is all over.  I call it the post holiday blues with a mix of ambitious resolutions.  One-way to get past the post-holiday blues it to start looking forward to another fun holiday.  Well the day I am talking about is not really a holiday but it’s a fun day for most.  I’m talking about Valentine’s Day and it is not to far around the corner.

Just think about it in around 5-6 weeks Valentine’s Day will be upon us.  So now is the perfect time to get ready for some Valentine’s Day craft projects.  To me there is nothing better than creating your own gift for your loved one.  If you have young ones this is a great activity that you can get them involved in as well.

I would like to share with you some great craft project ideas that you can easily do at home by yourself or with your kids.  One really cute idea I came across is the Toddler Valentine’s Painting.  All you need is a canvas, paintbrush, sponge brush, 3 different paint colors, and a sharpie marker.  Check out the link for detailed instructions.  In the end you and your young one will have created a great gift for anyone in your family.

Valentines Day Binoculars This was such a fun and easy craft and a great one to do with a little one just learning about Valentines Day. What a great way to spend time together with your little one, having fun while being able to start new traditions and shape their view of this holiday into a more positive one than the commercialized holiday that it has become.
