Today I will be talking about What is Influenster? and how to get this cool VoxBox.
Influenster (www.influenster.com) is an online community where people get to test products from different brands and share their opinion about the products on their social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram..etc. I signed up for Influenster in January 2013. I simply saw my friend posted a photo on their Facebook page of what they received (back then it was a set of shampoo and conditioner). I had no idea what Influenster was so I went on their web site and signed up.
How do I sign up?
There is no ordinary sign up process. You can not just go on Influenster site and sign up. You need to request an invite. Go to their Support center under Help section, Click request an invite or simply type “request invite” in their support forum. On the “Request an invitation” form you will input your name, email and will check the services you are using, check all that apply, such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+, Youtube, Smartphone, Instagram, Blog…etc.
Then the Influenster team will review your request and you will receive a reply from them in the next few days. You can also ask an Influenster member for an invitation. Each member gets to invite only 5 people. So if you’ve got the Influenster friend, use’em! I already used my 4 invites and now have only 1 left..
Once you are approved for an Influenster account, don’t expect the VoxBox to be shipped to you immediately. You will be asked to complete your account with your shipping address, phone and additional info if any. You will then start building up your account, such as taking small surveys on their web site or write small product reviews on brands you like or don’t like. Just share your honest opinion. Share with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or subscribers and you can also be qualified to receive products or samples, coupons from brands that work with Influenster.
How much does it cost?
The Influesnter is a 100% Free. All VoxBoxes, prizes, shipping, handling, and anything else. And they will not ask you for a credit card.
I don’t live in USA. Can I still join?
No matter where you live, you can join this community to learn about new products and share your own opinions. However, Influenster only ship items to the US and Canada at this time.

So now to unboxing my first Sugar and Spice box!
A few days ago I received my first Sugar ‘N Spice box in the mail from Influenster. They told me ahead of time that the box would be full of goodies so I couldn’t wait to open it up. When I hear the word goodies I picture chocolates, nuts, and candies. You know the kind of goody box your get during the holidays. In a way I was hoping it wasn’t one of those boxes since I’m watching my figure and don’t need any temptations.
The day I received the box I was actually having a huge craving for snacks. The good thing is when I opened the box it wasn’t full of candy and snacks. What a relief I quietly said to myself. There was one snack in there though but it was healthy breakfast biscuits from Belvita. The box also contained some new promotional products such as: Colgate Optic White toothpaste, Colgate Optic White Mouthwash, a Colgate Optic White Toothbrush, Spray and Go Moisturizer from Vaseline, Witch Hazel towlette from Dickinson’s and Nectresse Natural Sweetener from Splenda. They also included a bunch of great coupons and a small recipe book.
It wasn’t too difficult to decide on which product I would try first. Since I was having a snack craving I dug right into the Belvita Breakfast Biscuits. I have had Belvita biscuits before but this was a new flavor called cinnamon brown sugar. They go perfect with a cup of tea, coffee or milk. The biscuits were definitely delicious and didn’t leave me feeling regretful after eating them especially I ate 2 biscuits out of 4.
The next morning after my gym I had the remaining 2 biscuits but this time I was looking for a new way to enjoy my biscuits so I added some of my favorite fruit to it raspberry and blueberry. Check out this delish combo.
After I ate the biscuits it was a good time to test out the toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash from Colgate.
The toothpaste was kind of pasty and had a so-so flavor. It did leave my mouth feeling clean thought. Although the first few minutes my lips, tongue and mouth were burning. I liked the look and feel of the toothbrush in my hands. And especially i liked the tongue scraper on the back of it. I thought this was definitely good and powerful tongue scraper. After brushing I gave the mouthwash a try. I did not like it at all. It was supposed to be some minty flavor but it didn’t really taste minty. And it left some bitter aftertaste in my mouth.
Moving on the next product I tried was the Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer.
I was interested in this product because I use lots of moisturizer especially during the dry winter months. This product comes in a can that looks like a hair mousse can. I opened up the nozzle and sprayed it on to my arm. After that I rubbed it in to my skin and it didn’t leave a greasy film. The smell of it was good. Very mild and not overpowering. I liked the idea of spray-on moisturizer in a can though. I guess if you’re in a hurry and just want to give yourself a quick spritz it is a good product.
The last two products were the Dickinson’s Witch Hazel pads and the Nectresse sweetener.
I already use the Dickinson’s Witch hazel and really like their products. I tried their oil-controlling towlette on my face and on my hands. I like it the way it left the skin a good and fresh feel. I like the fact it is oil free, non-drying and for all skin types (Gentle formula with some botanical extracts and natural Witch Hazel, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice). They are great for travel, gym, beach, sports and office.
Regarding the sweetener I will get back to everyone on that one. Because I don’t use sweeteners I haven’t had a chance to try it out but it looks promising. The box claims that it is an all-natural sweetener made from monk fruit.
