If you are looking for an affordable alternative to the pricey 18″ dolls but still want quality, let me introduce you Madame Alexander Dolls! My daughters and I received this 18″ “Life of the Party” Madame Alexander Doll to test out as well as the “It’s a Party” accessory kit. They have had so much fun with her during the past week!

Madame Alexander 18 inch doll & accessories

Here is a short video review for anyone who prefers watching over reading:

This Madame Alexander doll is made out of a softer plastic and is stuffed in the middle so she is comfortable to cuddle with. We love that her arms, legs, and head can move in several different directions. This makes playing with her more fun. We’ve had the “stiff as a board” dolls in the past and they aren’t as fun! The Life of the Party Madame Alexander Dolls come with a sparkly headband, a pretty pink dress and matching shoes that are east to take on and off. This doll is recommended for ages 3+ but before we took her out of the package my 11 month old daughter kept giving the doll kisses through the box. 🙂
Madame Alexander 18 inch doll kids loveMy 3 other daughters have named this doll baby sister. My 8 year old says, “She is just like a real baby because her eyes open and close, except she doesn’t cry, and that is a very nice feature, maybe she can teach our real baby!” She has brown hair and brown eyes and they open and close. My 4 year old LOVES that she can put the doll to sleep.

We also received the fun accessory “It’s a party” set. It came with a dress, gloves, tiara, flags to make a banner,  letters to personalize the banner, 2 plates, 2 forks, 2 cups, and a cake.

The child can choose any color pattern with the banner flags and the little tiny forks are adorable! There is a lot of detail put in the this accessory kit and the Madame Alexander Dolls! The only thing I don’t love about this doll is the length of her dress. It’s short and often her undies are showing. It isn’t a huge deal, but something that caught my eye and the eye of my 7 year old daughter who said, “She needs some leggings so her undies won’t show!”

This particular Madame Alexander doll retails for $55.95 and the accessory kit sells for $44.95 on the Madame Alexander website. You can also become a fan on Facebook and Twitter to stay in the loop and see deals! My girls have had a great time with this doll the past week! They all want their own and it’s written on their birthday wish lists!

Disclosure: I received the items mentioned above so I could try them out and form an opinion to share with you. Regardless of this arrangement, I was not required to leave a positive review, the opinions posted above are my own. Thanks for reading I love my kids blog post about Madame Alexander Dolls!
