Plant Therapy essential oils 1 year celebration! (Review)

10/21/2013 By Irina 198 Comments

Lately I have become enveloped in the essential oil era. I honestly thought I would never be one that would be into oils. I figured they would never work for me and it was a waste of time. (It’s so silly, I know!) One day, I was feeling very very sick. I couldn’t find anything to make me feel better, so I did what every other adult would do….I called my mom. 🙂 Even when you’re old and have kids of your own, Mom’s still know what to do when you’re sick. My mom told me that I needed to try peppermint oil. I was a little hesitant, and agreed I’d buy some peppermint oil. A few days later I received peppermint oil in the mail from my mom. (She must of known I wouldn’t of bought it.) I was still very sick and finally used the peppermint oil as a last resort, and surely enough the oil almost instantly took away my nausea. I was instantly sold on essential oil from that point on.

plant-therapyI started doing some research on oils and essential oil companies. I ran across a new essential oil company called Plant Therapy. I discovered that this month of October they are celebrating their 1 year since they’ve had their Facebook page! They asked if I’d like to be a part of their celebration and I gladly agreed. They are having an awesome month of October with lots of giveaways and other things. Here is what they are doing, you don’t want to miss out! This is all happening on their Facebook page and blog.

-Once a week they are having a drawing worth $10-$50. Every purchase made that week will automatically enter you into the drawing.
-Every purchase, up to four, made in October will automatically be entered in to win one of three $100 Gift Certificates.
-Every purchase, up to four, made in October will automatically be entered in to win Plant Therapy’s Grand Prize of FREE Essential Oils for a Year (a $500 value).
-They are having weekly specials and promotions on their Facebook  page.
-All new customers can receive a coupon code good for 15% off their first order (THIS CODE WILL BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE REVIEW!) on the Plant Therapy site. They are also offering FREE return shipping for the month of October to all new customers.
-They are having Pin it to Win in competitions for an extra entry into the Grand Prize.
-They are offering HUGE discounts to a few customers in their Quick Deals on Facebook.

Okay, isn’t that just pure awesome?! I think so! So go like their Facebook page and see all the fun deals they are having! But it gets better, Plant Therapy is also allowing I Love My Kids blog to have a giveaway of our own! This surely is a celebration now.
all oils
They agreed to send me their Top 14 Essential Oil set for a review and giveaway which includes 7 singles and 7 synergies.

The single oils are- Peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus, lemon, tea tree, cinnamon bark, and orange.

The synergies are- Invigor-aid, energy, tranquil, sensual, germ fighter, immune aid, and relax.

I had no idea what synergies are. I am still a little new to oils. So I had to find out what they were. I found out that synergies are a  combination of essential oils that are combined for the highest therapeutic properties. Which makes sense since the synergies names are almost a type of action, such as- Germ fighter, Energy, Relax, etc. I also found out that Plant Therapy’s synergies are not diluted, and that they are 100% pure essential oil. Some companies dilute their synergies and blends but Plant Therapy does not!

I was so excited because I have never tried eucalyptus oil. That was one I was very excited to try out. I haven’t even been able to try out all of the oils as yet. But two of the ones I love so far are Energy and Eucalyptus and Energy.
Energy synergy and euclyptus
One of the great thing I love about Plant Therapy’s  oils is that on the back of the oils they have what that oil is good for. If it’s a synergy then it will also tell you what oils are combined to make that certain essential oil. Look at the picture below- this is a synergy called Tranquil. Notice the oil combinations to make this blend (synergy). This would be awesome for my daughter too, but we haven’t tried it yet.
back of oil
Here are a few things I have done with the oils so far:
I read that you can put a few drops of certain oil in your shower. For example, if you’re feeling sick you could put a few drops of Germ Fighter and maybe Eucalyptus or Peppermint even. Or if you’re in dire need of comfort and relaxation then a few drops of Relax and Lavender would do the trick. I have never thought of putting oil in the shower but I am trying it now and I love it!

I also love to take Lavender and Peppermint and put 2 or 3 drops of each and put it in my scentsy warmer. The lavender leaves a calming peace and the peppermint just smells good and also it makes me feel better when I am sick, which is VERY often these days. I think I do this almost daily and it eases my body and my daughter’s as well when we are home for the day. The smell last all day and is just very pleasant.

scentsy-peppermint

I also put Lavender under my daughter’s toes to try and calm her. She is a VERY energetic child, and sometimes I just need a break. Out come the oils to calm her. (If you can’t tell we love lavender!)
One other thing that I am thinking of getting the Invigor-Aid. It says it’s suppose to relax you and is great for someone who’s been in an office all day. My husband is on the phone all day long at work and when he gets home he is just ready to be done. This is suppose to help someone after a long hard day. I am planning on getting a few drops of that and combining it with a simple lotion we have and rubbing my husbands arms or back with that combination to make him feel better. I think it will help him a lot! We haven’t tried it yet, but I will soon.

If you go up you can look at click all the links to their blog, website, and Facebook page. I am loving my Plant Therapy Oils set . You can purchase the set of 14 oils for

$54.95. Plant Therapy is also VERY affordable and they have great deals you won’t want to miss out on. We have a coupon code for

new customers it is good for 15% off on Plant Therapy’s site. The coupon code is celebrate15.  This coupon is good one per person and cannot be used towards the purchase of gift cards or certificates.

Lavender is my favorite, and the Relax synergy formula would be my first pick…if I could only choose one synergy. Thanks so much for sharing about Plant Therapy oils. They are reasonably priced when compared to other essential oil makers.

But I like the patchouli individual oil because it reminds me of my childhood in the early 70s when everybody had that oil. I tried to vote for your pumpkin too. I was logged into facebook and it accessed my profile but the number 330 never changed. Any ideas what I might have done wrong?
