How to Make your child's room POP, by putting wooden letters in picture frames. Baby Name Wall Art

A week or so ago I posted a picture of my daughter’s name that is hanging in her room. Due to popular demand of the picture I have decided to post a little tutorial on how I did it. Feel free to pin!

This idea came to me when I found a (25) 8×10 picture frames in a box by my dumpster. (Yes I was SO stinking excited that I found them!) I knew I had to think of something to do with them. After a few minutes of brainstorming I came up with this idea. I wasn’t sure how it’d turn out. I had seen on Pinterest, letters in a big picture frame all together, but not separate I had to try it out. Although I had to wait until the next day to get started. But I seriously dreamed of this the night before, it was destiny! 🙂

Supplies:

8×10 picture frames- enough for the name you’re doing this project for.

Letters- I had these letters previously hanging in my daughters room. I got them at Walmart for $2 a piece, then I painted them.

Tacks to hang your letters

Design printed on 8×10 paper at home- I had to flip my image when I started to print it so it would print on the whole paper, and go the way I wanted it to.

How to:

Step 1- Paint picture frames if needed. Take out the glass and backing, put your 8×10 paper design in with design facing out. Close the tabs on the back of the picture (don’t put backing back on) to make sure the paper doesn’t move. Do this to all frames.

Step 2- Hang your picture frames up. I used a tape measure to make sure frame was in the right spot.

Step 3- Take your letters and tack and center them in the middle of the frame. Push the tacks through the paper and into the wall.

Here is a tutorial on how to make the pom poms, if you don’t know how to make those. I had those made previously as well! But this is where I learned how to make them.

You’re done! This project was $1.56 for me because I had to go buy paint at the store. But I had everything else at my house already. This is a super easy project and way cute! It will look professional every time. As long as you make the letters and frames straight and even. 🙂

But it’s much more beautiful now! I love it so much. Sometime I go in her room just to look at it. Oh and in my last post I made a homemade scrabble board with chevron, I told you I was into chevron! Have a great weekend!
