Sleep is one of the most important things you can give your body. The problem is, sometimes your body doesn’t want sleep no matter how much you try. We’ve all been there, possibly more than you may be willing to admit. Insomnia and fatigue cause tossing, turning, and the inability to relax and rest. Our bodies struggle to perform at their highest abilities when they are so fatigued from sleep deprivation. Unfortunately, this problem isn’t one that just adults suffer from, it is also one children face as well. Thanks to Dreampad pillows, my household has been able to fight insomnia, restlessness, and fatigue.
Dreampad has been developed to help bring relaxation and comfort to those who suffer from sleep deprivation, insomnia, autism, ADHD, PTSD, etc. Dreampad provided my family with the medium, firm, and memory support pillows. Each runs off the dreampad technology, and has proven to be highly effective in helping my family rest peacefully without the need for oral sleep aides.
Dreampad has four different pillow options available, so no matter what your comfort level, there is an option available for you. In fact, one of the best features that Dreampad offers is a 30-day risk free trial. If you purchase a pillow and are not satisfied, you can return it for a full refund.
My husband has been using the memory support pillow. From the first night of use, he said his sleep had improved. In his opinion, the memory support pillow is one of the best pillows he has ever used. I agree that it is a very good pillow, as I am guilty of using it a time or two.
When it comes to the difference between the firm and medium support pillows, I do not feel that there is a huge difference. Both are very soft, and have support that comforts the neck and head as you rest. The music levels and reception seems to also be the same between the two. If you like a more fluffy feeling pillow, then I would go with the medium support. However, if you like the less fluffy and more dense padding then the firm support pillow is the one I would recommend you try.
What is Dreampad Technology?
When I first heard about Dreampad Technology, I was a little skeptical. However, as a mother who has two children with developmental setbacks that affect their sleep, I was also a intrigued.
As stated on the Dreampad website, “Dreampad technology is based on the natural conductivity of the human body. Our bones are natural conductors; in fact, every time you speak the vibration caused by your voice is carried by bone to your inner ear. In the same way, music from the Dreampad travels internally to your ear. The vibration moves toward the bony area surrounding your middle and inner ear, it is triggering your body’s relaxation response. Clinical data suggests that the calming effect of the Dreampad is a result of the vibrational music stimulating the vagus nerve, which in turn activates the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).”
Each Dreampad pillow has internalized speakers that can play music using the internal audio connection cord or a Bluetooth receiver. It is a pretty fascinating technology because the sound is only heard by the person whose head is placed upon the pillow. Dreampad has created an App that has 10 sound tracks on it specifically for relaxation and sleep.
Is it Worth the Money?
If you look at the price of the Dreampad pillows you may experience a little shell shock. Truth be told, I too had that same shock before actually trying them out. But now that I have personally used them, and seen the positive outcome they have brought to my family, I believe whole heartedly that this is worth every penny.
My 9 year old daughter has ADHD and has significant troubles falling sleep. We have had to use oral sleep aides to help her get the rest her body needs. Although the oral sleep aides are 100% natural and have no side affects or risk of long term damage to her body, it is still not an ideal thing for us to have to consistently provide her. Since using the Medium Support Dreampad Pillow with Dreampad Technology, we have not had to provide any sleep aides beyond turning on our Dreampad App and letting the music and vibrations softly relax her to sleep.
Tips for Maximizing the Dreampad Experience
Since using these pillows in our home, I have learned a few things that have really come in handy to maximize our experience with them.
- Purchase the Bluetooth receiver. I actually did not purchase the Bluetooth receiver directly from Dreampad, however, I would recommend you do so. I purchased one from Walmart, and it works great. However, it was the exact same price as the one for sale by Dreampad, so you can make things easier by having your pillow and receiver come at the same time.
- Make sure you charge your audio device & Bluetooth receiver each day. I can’t tell you how many times I neglected to make sure the battery was charged. If the Bluetooth receiver wasn’t charged, it wasn’t the end of the world, because we would just plug the phone in directly to the pillow using the audio cord. However, when our phone wasn’t charged, then the night was rough because the Dreampad Technology was not able to help anyone sleep.
- ANY music or audio sound can be played into the Dreampad. Listen to an audio book, or your favorite calming music….there are endless options available.
- If you are a back sleeper the Dreampad Technology will not be beneficial to you. However, I would still recommend the memory support pillow. I have found that if you sleep on your back, you are not able to hear the audio very well, if at all. To really get the best out of these pillows, you need to frequently sleep on your sides.
I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to learn about Dreampad. It really has helped my household become better sleepers. If you have any questions about this product, please leave a comment below. I will answer them to the best of my ability. Enjoy!
