Shout Out what you stand for with the Shout Out Shirt!

In my 5+ years of reviewing products I have reviewed a lot of items and this Shout Out shirt from Shout Out Clothing makes my top 5 coolest things I’ve ever reviewed! When the opportunity came to review the shirt I thought, “oh that looks kind of fun, I bet my oldest would like that.” I had no idea it would be SO SO SO VERY FUN and become an instant hit at school! I bet you’re wondering how a shirt can be fun and in my top 5….let me tell you all about  it! The Shout Out shirt is a 100% cotton t-shirt  and it has a soft velcro dialogue bubble on the front and a soft velcro name strip on the back making this shirt full of endless possibilities!

The Shout Out Shirt comes with a welcome note on how to care for the shirt, a lot of velcro letters, numbers and symbols, and a nice storage bag to hold the velcro pieces that aren’t being used. The welcome note was hilarious to read and we were all laughing. In a kid friendly way, it explained how to care for the shirt so it would last as long as possible.

There are 3 copies of almost every letter, 2 copies of each number and 1 copy of the symbols. They come in sheets and you can punch them out as you need them. One thing I really liked about them coming in sheets, is there was a bit of spare space at the bottom of a couple of the sheets, which I saved so we can trace and cut more letters out if we ever need them. They are very generous with the amount of letters they send, so far we have been able to write everything we’ve wanted to write and had enough letters to do it! shout-out-shirt-velcro-letters

The letters, numbers and symbols do stick together, because they are velcro, but if you gently pull them, they come apart easily. We saved all the little bits and pieces from when we punched out the P and the B, etc so we could use them as more punctuation or create a design out of them.

shout-out-shirt-with-lettersWe received our Shout Out shirt in the mail while my daughter was practicing her spelling words for her upcoming spelling test. So naturally, the first word I made her write on her shout out shirt was a spelling word! Forefather. 🙂 Yeah, I’m that Mom! We had fun for over an hour creating phrases on our new shirt! Well, once we got done spelling out her spelling words!

se-hsout-out-shirt-for-spellingShe kept saying over and over again, this is so cool! So she wrote that and put “told ya” on the back. say-it-with-a-shout-out-shirtShe is well known in her class for her love of spinach and had planned to pack a spinach salad for school the next day as her cold lunch, so she prepared her shout out shirt to say, “Who has….SPINACH?” On the back she wrote, “Anyone”. She could hardly wait to go to school the next day with her cool new shirt! The kids on the bus went NUTS over the shirt, I know, because I am the bus driver! During the entire route, when a new student would get on the bus, another student would point to her shirt and explain it. It got even more attention at school!

shout-out-shirt-spinachI want to point out that this shirt is very soft, the entire thing even the velcro bubble. It is also tag-less and she said it was very comfortable to wear.  Once she was home that day, we gently removed all the letters from the dialogue bubble and tossed it in the dirty clothes basket. When laundry day came I washed it and let it air dry as per the care instructions. I was happy when it didn’t fade or shrink after the first wash.

She wore the Shout Out shirt the following Monday because it was her birthday! It was easy to come up with a message for the occasion!

It is so much fun to have the ability to have your shirt say whatever you want it to say. From fun things like my daughter had done to important things like reminding our community members to “Pray for George”.  An outstanding teenager in our community was in a terrible accident and has been hospitalized, he has a long road to recovery and many people in our town have purchased “pray for George” bracelets and shirts, in a fund raising effort, as well as a faith sharing effort, for his long road to recovery. It’s awesome to be able to change what your shirt says whenever you want!
Colin, who is an actor, as well as the founder of Shout Out Clothing, visits schools sharing an empowering message to “shout out” who you are and what you stand for. He also does charity work with children’s hospitals and makes days a little brighter for children fighting for their lives! They are doing amazing things and I’m thrilled to be sharing with our readers about this great product!

The Shout Out shirt retails for $32.95 which in my opinion is a screaming good deal! Good quality velcro is quite expensive and the velcro on these shirts are GREAT quality. I estimated that if I were to try to make a DIY version of this shirt, it would cost me $78 due to the velcro cost and it would take hours upon hours to cut all those letters out! Which is why I think this is a screaming good deal! You can order one for you on the shout out clothing site. While you’re at their site, you can check out their links to their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date on the latest news!
Who do you know that would love a Shout Out shirt? Leave me a comment below telling me! Disclosure: I received this shirt so I could form an honest opinion to share with you. Regardless of our arrangement I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed above are my own. I truly love this shirt, the company, and the values it shares. Thanks for reading!
