I can’t believe I am about to type this but the holidays are coming up. Don’t get me wrong I love the holidays. I love making costumes for my kids for Halloween. I love making and especially eating Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I especially love waking up Christmas morning and watching my kids’ faces light up as they open their presents. What I don’t like about the holidays though is the stress. The stress is caused by the endless planning, the food shopping and most of all the present shopping. This year though I am trying my hardest to skip some of the unnecessary stress and I am going to do that by buying presents early so I am not having to rush to the store the month of December and wait in the long lines but instead I can sit at home and enjoy my kids and some holiday music with my mug of hot cocoa.
The first present I have gotten this year for my, going to be, four year old daughter is a toy that I know I would have loved when I was a little girl. It is a pony and horse lover’s dream and it is from Schleich.
This is the Riding Centre with rider, horses and accessories from Schleich.
It comes with a small horse, a big horse, a ride, carrots, apples, two hay bales, a pitch fork, a saddle, reins, a blanket, 12 fence pieces, horse care products, a basket and the riding centre which comes dissembled but isn’t too difficult to put together.
As I was slowly putting the riding centre together I became more and more amazed with how detailed everything was.
There are the individual stalls and inside each of those stalls is a drinking bowl, a feeding trough and a door that you can open all the way so the horse can play outside or just the top half so the horse can stick it’s head out the window for a little bit of air. Even the floor and roof are detailed, stone pattern lines the floor and the roof is shingled.
The care for detail is so obvious throughout the riding centre, even down to the doors which include a lock and look like they are made of wood.
I know I have been talking about the great detail that the Schleich riding centre has but I really was surprised by how even the horses had braids in their manes and that there were so many realistic accessories. The blankets fit perfectly on and the rains were easy to put on.
Well I guess there is one down fall to buying your Christmas gifts early and that is that your children have more time to find their presents like how my daughter found her Christmas present but the bright side is that she loves it. She could play with it all day and it encourages so much imagination and play and it is even a toy I love to play with along side her.
So if you have a horse loving daughter and are thinking about what you should get her for Christmas than search no further because they is the perfect gift for her!
