Keep your child warm this winter with Cygnet Cover from 7 A.M Enfant

The cold weather is fast approaching here in Montana and I have plans to keep my baby safe from the elements and warm with the Cygnet Cover from 7 A.M. Enfant! This wind proof, water resistant lightweight but warm cover is just what I was looking for to help us get through my baby girl’s first winter!

7amenfant5

This 3 in 1 blanket is designed to fit onto any baby carrier, stroller or car seat. Utilizing the 4 Velcro straps it can hook around handles, bars, straps, etc to make sure it doesn’t go flying off in the wind–keeping your child out of the elements!

7amenfant 4

I first tried this Cygnet Cover on my car seat. It was really easy to attach and detach the straps from one side so I could safely put my baby into her car seat. Once I put my daughter in and buckled her up I re-attached the straps. I must say I love this attachment feature. I can’t even count the number of times I’ve been hauling the car seat and have some kind stranger call out after me, “Ma’am, you lost your blanket!” You know the blanket that is supposed to be keeping my baby covered and warm on her lap…this doesn’t happen with the cygnet cover!
7amenfant8

Another thing I really like about using this cygnet cover blanket instead using a traditional blanket is the freedom it gives my little one. She has reached that point where she doesn’t like to be wrapped or have her arms restricted. It was 27 degrees this morning when I took the kids to school, so I needed her hands to stay covered and warm. In a regular blanket I have to tuck her hands in tight to keep them covered and it puts weight on her that she doesn’t like. With this cygnet cover, her hands are free to move underneath the blanket, they stay warm and she is much happier!

Another really neat feature is the zipper part that allows hands to come out of the cover if needed or my hands to go into the cover to search for her binki! As she gets older and can grab things, I am sure this feature will be really handy (no pun intended-lol).

7 A.M. Enfant really thought this through and added 2 elasticized drawstrings to adjust and secure the cover onto a car seat, stroller, or carrier.

7amenfant2

This feature is located near the top and there is one at the bottom. The bottom one was great to ensure that the cover stayed around the bottom of my car seat! The top one allowed me to make the cover more secure and reduce the amount of heat that escapes.

7amenfant1Sometimes the wind gets wild and the snow starts blowing right at you and no cover blanket can stay on. This idea wasn’t a shown use in the instruction manual, but I have intentions of trying this out during our next snow storm. I used the top drawstring to tighten it around the hood of my car seat. With the zippers there I can unzip it a little bit and not worry about air supply! Since the cover is water resistant and wind proof this would make a great protective cover for my sweet girl.

7amenfant13

The cover is filled with fake down that is great for heat retention. It is machine washable and is two-tone! Mine is a light maroon and plum color although in the pictures it looks brownish.

7amenfant3

When using this on a baby carrier the upper flap part can cover the baby’s head in case of a gust of wind or rain. I haven’t had my carrier on since I received this Cygnet Cover or taken a walk with the stroller yet, but the user’s guide shows how it works on those items too.

7amenfant9This cover is very versatile and can fit children from 0-4 years. You can get a lot of use out of it as your family grows! The Cygnet Cover retails for $78.00 and comes in 5 different color combinations which can be seen below or on their site I linked above. You can follow 7 A.M. Enfant on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest!

7amenfantonlineIt also came with this handy carrying zippered case.

7amenfant7

The Cygnet Cover is recommended for temperatures as low as 5 degrees F/-15 degrees C.  I know this will be a product that will be relying on a lot this upcoming winter! What do you think? Would this be a product you would like to have? Let me know in the comments below!

This would be wonderful to have. We have a dog we have to walk daily or else she goes crazy and our little guy loves to go on walks daily too, but it’s getting too cold to go for him, but this looks like it would keep him nice and warm so we could go more often in the winter! I really love the dark midnight grey one!
