For a while now I have been looking for a good salsa recipe, which can be hard for me because I am so picky about the kind of salsa I eat, it has to be both sweet and spicy and be very smooth. Now that it is almost fall I have been feeling more in the mood for salsa every day, for some reason I just picture salsa belonging during the fall months.
I searched my Pintrest and came across a salsa recipe that looked good and looked even easier to make than I thought any salsa recipe would be. I looked in my cupboards and saw that I had all the ingredients so I decided to give it a try and guess what? It was a winner! It had a good combination of sweet and spicy and you can make it either chunky or smooth so no matter which you like you’ll most likely love this salsa! The recipe has now been added to my recipes and will be made every time I want some delicious salsa, especially with all these football games coming up it’s a perfect party and football accompanying food.
Delicious Blender Salsa
Serving: 6-8
Time: 10-15 min.
Ingredients:
-
14 oz Can Diced Tomatoes
- 10 oz. Can Original Rotel
- 1/2 Small Onion, Chopped
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic, about 1 clove
- 1/2 of a jalapeno, I chose to seed mine but if you want it spicier add the seeds
- 1 tsp. Honey
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
- Small to Medium handful of Cilantro, remember to wash
- TB of Lime Juice
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to your blender.
2. Pulse until it is to your desired consistency. I did it for about 1 minute because I like smooth salsa but my husband probably would have done it closer to 20-30 seconds because he likes more chunks in his salsa.
3. Serve and enjoy!
