Are you looking for a perfect Mother’s Day gift–how about a birthday board? A birthday board is the cutest and newest way to never miss a loved one’s birthday! You’ve maybe seen them before, found some very pricey ones and even thought about making your own….but I’ve found the most inexpensive place to purchase them from that I have to share! WoodWorx Designs custom makes to your color preference birthday board (you can see the many color choices here) for only $30 + shipping! I haven’t found any place to get a cheap birthday board that arrives to my door completely done to my specifications! The best part: the quality is outstanding!
About a year ago I moved to the same town as my in-laws. My Mom-in-law has become one of my best friends–she is just so wonderful! I really wanted to get her something nice (but affordable) for Mother’s Day this year. She had admired my birthday board and I knew it would be a great gift! I was able to pick the colors to match the room in her home where I think she would hang it, told Jennifer at WoodWorx and she made it happen for me! I received the package and took note that it was CAREFULLY wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged in packing peanuts to assure safe arrival!
I had chosen a black board that wasn’t just a flat board, it had cute designed edges. I chose tan and white for my words, month letters, and discs. It was high quality and both the front and back were painted perfectly. Most birthday boards I have seen only have one side painted. I have continually been impressed with the quality items I have seen from WoodWorx Designs! I also really liked that family wasn’t entirely covering the word birthdays. I could actually read it.
To use the birthday board all you need to do is write your loved one’s name and birthday on the disk. Or the anniversary date on the anniversary heart. THEN you hang it under the proper month. I intend to have this part done before I give it to my Mom in law, but when I went hunting for my thin tipped permanent marker I found it, hidden next to the piano with it’s cap no where in sight…..I am thinking some one (I won’t name names-cough-my 3 year old) snuck the marker to draw with, lost the lid and didn’t want me to know. (Someone please tell me I am not alone and your 3 year old sneaks pens and markers too?) 🙂 I started writing with my thick tip sharpie and decided I had better wait until I buy a new marker to write the rest.
You simply remove the discs and place as many as you need under the proper month. For example we have NO January birthdays but 6 in April on my husband’s side of the family. I plan to take them all off, write down everyone’s birthday in order and alternate the colors accordingly. If 24 circles aren’t enough you can order more already painted to match your board circles from WoodWorx by visiting their Etsy shop. You can also order hearts as well if you want to include everyone’s anniversaries!
As I mentioned above you can purchase your completed custom birthday board for just $30 + shipping via Etsy. You can also follow WoodWorx Designs on Facebook, Instagram, follow their blog, or sign up for their emails to be the first to find out about new products and new contests! Speaking of contests…..
