water activities for kids to stay cool

All around the country the temperatures are rising this month and there doesn’t seem to be any relief in site.  Especially this coming week the heat wave that hit the Midwest is coming to the northeast so it is time to find some activities that will surely cool you and your family down.  For kids and adults alike I would like to share some great water activities that are not only fun but will definitely keep you cool for now.  For most of these you don’t even need a pool just some water and some other commonly found items.  For example there is the pouring water toddler activity which will prove to be fun but will also teach the kids how to pour drinks for themselves.  Then there is the cool DIY Water Blob which requires a few items you could pick up at your local hardware store.  This one truly looks like some amazing fun that gets Mom and Dad involved with the kids.  And then there is one of my personal favorites called Water Balloon Pinata.  It combines two of my favorite things; a pinata and water balloons.  This one is will truly be lots of fun and everyone will get wet in the process.  I look forward to hearing from my readers after they try some of these out.  Also please feel free to share some of your own water games that you enjoy.  One last thing before I forget there is always the old fallback and that is running through the sprinkler or getting soaked under a garden hose.  Remember stay wet and stay cool.
