What exactly is In A Pikle? Bag review

Have you ever been in a pickle? Let’s say you just bought a brand new set of head phones at the store, and you are too eager to open them until you get home. So you try to open the secured plastic surrounding them. You try and try to open it but it just doesn’t budge. At that point you’re in a huge pickle, and wishing you had some scissors. You just want to open your head phones, right? Well have no fear, if you have a In a Pikle bag, just open it up and pop out a wonderful pair of handy-dandy scissors.

A pair of scissors is only one of the many things that come with the Pikle. So, you may ask, what is this “Pikle bag” that I am talking about? This is like a first aid kit to mom’s, in a way.  It is a wallet sized bag, with all the essentials that you need if you are out of the house and something happens to you or your children. If your child wipes their Cheeto fingers all over you, there is a stain remover pen. If you break a nail, there is a nail file. It is a handy little bag, and can fit in your purse or diaper bag, or you can just carry it in your hand.

I got my Pikle with a Starter-Pak. The Starter Pak includes everything above except the 3 pictures on the right hand side. It is only $10 more, I definitely think it’s worth it!

I was so overly excited to receive this in the mail. When I got it, I literally jumped up and down by my mail box! The coolest thing about this is that the box that it came in was so cute. I didn’t get the cute bow wrapping like they offer, but isn’t the box even cute? I opened up the box and pulled everything out. I was a little nervous how I would put it together. I looked in the box, and there was this wonderful piece of paper giving step by step instructions on how to pack your Pikle. Cool, right?

Once it was all set out I started to put it together. It comes with 4 plastic pockets with 2 on each side, so you have a total of 8 pockets to put your belongings in. A great thing about this, is that you can put anything that you need personally in there. Like maybe chap stick, or a child’s binkie.

They have these small holes. Line them up over the button then….

SNAP! Your plastic covers are in.
(I did this before filling my pikle bag, but I was just so excited I didn’t take pictures at first. So put in your plastic covers first, then fill them.)

I  was so excited for this!

The Pikle I chose is the  Sweet Pikle with Mint Flap. When I got it, I was expecting a little bit different color. But I realized that the color on the computer is always different from real life. It wasn’t a drastic color change, I am still VERY pleased with it.

It looks big, but for how much stuff is in here, it is reasonably sized.

I just wanted to share a few of my favorite things about my Pikle.

1. Dental floss, with a mirror on the back:

PikleI am super self conscious when it comes to eating in front of people, and thinking that maybe I have something stuck in my teeth isn’t much better. Whenever I get done eating at a restaurant, or someplace, I want to run to the bathroom to see if there is food in my teeth. Now that I have my Pikle bag, I can casually check while I am at the table. As long as I do it secretly, right? : )

2. Scissors-

Pikle4When has a woman not wished that she had scissors with her? I can’t count the number of times a pair of scissors would come in handy while I am away from home. But who wants to carry a pair of scissors in their purse? Not me. The great thing about this pair of scissors is that you can break them down so the sharp part can’t be seen or touched. Just in case one of your kiddo’s finds them. You have to pull them apart, and then push up to get them to work. It seems to me as if they are almost child proof.

3. Tape measure-

DSCN3206

I am always needing a tape measure for how many projects I do. My big thing is going to a second hand store, and wanting to know the size of a picture frame. I always had to guess, but now I won’t have to with my Pikle bag!

She approves of the pikle bag too!
(I took this from her after I snapped a few photos, but she is a doll, isn’t she?)

In a Pikle is (at least to me) one of the best inventions ever. When you buy a Pikle it costs $29.99 and with a starter pack it only costs $39.99. I did think that this was pricey at first. But, once I got it in the mail, I realized it was really a pretty good deal that they had. Plus you get end up getting a super duper cute wallet ( It’s not a wallet, but it looks like one).

I like this bag. Often times I have a lot of emergency stuff in my purse, but you can’t put but so much in your purse, makes it too heavy.

I thought it looked like it was a little pricey myself like you did. But, with your review I thought differently and I took a look at their website. This would really help in an emergency moment. What a fun idea!

Love this, would be awesome since my family thinks I carry everything in my purse with the exception of the kitchen, I’m stunned by the things they ask for & they’re surprised when I have it! Lol! In a Pickle, no way, but I’d love to own a pikle to avoid being in a pickle 🙂

Hi Irina. I first heard about “In a Pikle” when we were searching for an RV. The seller of the RV called it a Pikle book, but I looked it up and found out it was actually a bag. I waited until they had a clearance sale and bought my Pikle bag for $10. I didn’t have to buy the contents, because I already had everything I needed in my home. We love the Pikle Bag and I keep it in my tote purse for daily use. We also take it on the pontoon boat when we go out.
