It seems like yesterday that we were sending our daughter off to her first day of kindergarten. Now she is in the 4th grade and quickly approaching her last year of elementary school. When I remind my husband of this he briefly goes into a catatonic state staring blankly at the ceiling until I snap him back to attention. He tells me that he gets very anxious when he thinks about our kids growing up. He has been pretty good so far with our son who is heading to high school next year, but I think our daughter moving up will be the more difficult for him. He is already beginning to play the role of the over-protective father. Just the other day he was complaining that our daughter’s jeans were too tight and he said that I should only buy her loose fitting jeans in the future. For the most part I agree. It is important that I play an active role in showing her how to dress appropriately. With all of the images of sexuality coming from the television, movies, and music videos it is difficult to get your point across at times.
That is why I appreciate a clothing store like Justice that is dedicated exclusively to young girls.
Justice is an all girls clothing and accessories store that caters to the tween market. Whether or not my daughter is a tween is something that my husband is not ready to tackle yet. I think when he hears the word teen associated with any of our children he has flashbacks to his raucous days of yesteryear. Anyway I figured I would give Justice a try since our daughter has sort of outgrown the other children’s clothing stores in our area. Before we actually went to the Justice store we sat down on the couch with my tablet and checked out their website together. While perusing the vast selection of clothing they have we couldn’t help but get excited. Everything looked so colorful and fresh and best of all age appropriate. We both looked at each other and agreed that we couldn’t wait until our shopping trip. It was a great idea to check out the web site beforehand because I was offered 15% coupon for providing my email address.
That Saturday we took a ride to our closest Justice store. My daughter and I went to Justice and my husband and son went to the bookstore. After about an hour my husband called to say they were done but it seemed as though we were just getting started. The store set up was very user friendly and just felt new, vibrant, and fresh. I kept thinking that it would have been really cool if Justice were around when I was a kid. There was so much really cool clothing at Justice that we could have spent another hour or so shopping. We ended up buying: a festive holiday shirt with a gold print that says: My Christmas list: a Puppy, Peace and love, Candy. My 9 y.o. is in love with this shirt and was able to find a matching skirt. We also found a comfortable sweatpants at a good price and cute jeggings.

Overall I was very happy with our shopping experience at Justice. When we got home and showed my husband what we purchased he did not have one negative thing to say. I guess that means that Justice not only passed the daughter and mother test but more importantly the father test.

The Tween styles at Justice are so cute!! I love how (from your pics) the clothes are adorable and stylish but they look like kids clothes. I see to many stores “for kids” with clothes for my 4 yr old that look like something i’d wear at 31 lol
The styles are Ok , mostly for young teens.
I’ve never heard of this store before, for some reason, it puts me in the mind of how Claire’s was when I was a teenager. I love how the clothes look. I think they are kid appropriate unlike a lot of clothes now days. I think all little girls would love to go into a store like this.
