The Perfect Gift for a Child who wants a Lizard but who has a Mom who Does not; Robo Alive

My son is all boy so as soon as I saw these products I knew he would love them. I on the other hand am not a fan of reptiles, whether real or not, so I was not as excited. Then we took them out of their packages and my mind was changed. Keep reading to see why I am now allowing lizards in my house, well at least electronic ones.

*I received the following products in exchange for my honest opinion.

Robo Alive from Zuru brings you realistic robotic pets.

The two Robo Alive pets that we got was their lurking lizard and the slithering snake. Along with those two pets they also have a robo clown fish and a tiny turtle. Each pet also comes in more than one color option.

This is the lurking lizard.

Before you can play with the lurking lizard you will need two AA batteries. There is only one screw you need to remove on it’s stomach in order to place the batteries. This makes for quick setup. Then you turn it on by flipping the switch to the on button (also located on it’s stomach).

The way that the lurking lizard moves is with rotating arms that move in a circle. This motion makes it look just like what a real lizard looks like when it is running. It is both one of the funniest things and fun things I have seen. It is crazy how realistic they were able to make it.

This is the slithering snake.

The snake requires two AAA batteries. It was a little annoying having to use two different kinds of batteries but the snake is smaller than the lizard so it makes sense. The batteries are placed in the head of the snake and can be a little difficult to figure out at first (at least it was for me) but once you find it you will never loose it.

The snake is also a fun toy to watch move around the floor. It has wheels on the bottom of it’s head that move back and forth so that the snake slithers instead of moving in one direction.

If I had to choose one of these reptiles as my favorite I would choose the lurking lizard. The way it moves is a lot of fun and makes me laugh.

Who do you know who would love to open these robotic pets on Christmas morning? Which reptile would they like best? Let us know in the comments!
