Defend Gotham City Side-by-Side with the DC Universe 48″ Batman

The DC Universe 48″ Classic Batman brings imaginative play to a whole new world.  Now, children can fight side by side with their favorite hero, while keeping Gotham (or their room) safe from any enemies.

dc-universe-48inch-batmanAny person who loves Batman, will love getting a 48″ Batman toy.  The sheer size of the toy makes it exciting. Although very big, it does not weigh a lot, so it is easy to move around the house and to play with.

The bat-signal mode projects the iconic batman symbol onto the wall or ceiling, while the light mode keeps a low glow shining from Batman’s chest.  The light does not stay on very long, which is a little bit of a disappointment. I would have liked to see a feature included that allowed for control on how long the light is on.

dc-universe-48inch-batman-is-so-large-it-may-look-like-a-stranger-is-lurking-over-the-bedIt does take some time to get use to a very large toy, that is the same size as my children, being next to a bed and in the house.  The first two days or so, as I would walk past the bedroom Batman was in, I had to double take the situation and make sure it wasn’t a stranger.  It did freak me out a few times when, in the night, I would go check on my son only to see a figure standing next to his bed, arms extended, while my son slept.  Ha.

The flexibility of the toy is limited, however it hasn’t really affected how my kids play with it. Batman’s arms and wrists are capable of turning 360 degrees and his head turns slightly to the left and right.

Fighting crime has never been more exciting in our house.

Jakks Pacific provided me with this item for review. The opinions expressed above are my own, based on the experiences I had observing and using the provided product. Enjoy.
