Dream Frenz: a Pillow that Inspires Imagination

10/19/2015 By Ashley Leave a Comment

In my house I have recently been working on decreasing the amount of time spent in front of screens, for everyone including myself. Mind you this is being said as I am sitting in front of the computer writing this review and my daughter is playing “chickens” on my phone, so my efforts are not quite there yet but I have hope. In my attempt to accomplish my goal of getting down to only 1-2 hours of screen time a day, I have been trying to think of more things I can do with my daughter that we can do together throughout our days, especially on ones we have no activities planned. One great thing about the age my daughter is at now is she is starting to learn to play more with her imagination so she doesn’t require a whole lot of toys but for me it is always nice to have some variety in our imagination play and that is where our new friend Penelope from Dream Frenz comes into play.

DreamFrenz

This is Penelope from Dream Frenz.

She has pink hair, a cute bow and adorable facial features. I chose Penelope for my daughter because she loves pink just like her mom so I knew she would love Penelope’s bright pink hair. If Penelope isn’t your favorite they currently have eight other characters that are great for boys and girls and they are in the works of creating more characters including a sports line, heroes line and an international line.

DreamFrenz Back

Each character has their own design on the back.

This is a great feature because if it happens to end up in the living room for the day, you can always turn it around and use it as a decorative pillow. It can also be a great decoration for your child’s bed through the day when they are at school and not playing with their Dream Frenz.

Can you spot the difference?

That’s right these pillows have a body as well which helps encourage even more imagination play. What is so great about these pillows is when your child is ready to use it as a pillow the body can be stored up in the pillow so it doesn’t need to be laid on. Also the pillow is one of the softest most comfortable pillow I have ever used. I didn’t have too high of an expectation for the softness of the pillow, since it is for children to play with, but I would seriously use this pillow to sleep on.

Dream Frenz retail for $24 which is a great deal for a pillow and toy all in one especially if it means less screen time for the kids.

Let me know in the comments which Dream Frenz you would get for your child(ren).

*I received samples of the products mentioned above for free to facilitate this post. All opinions are mine.
