As a mom of two who is also a full time student, contributes to the I Love My Kids Blog, vlogs weekly and goes to the gym three times a week along with cleaning the house and doing the laundry almost daily I am a busy woman! Because I have so much going on all the time it is hard planning and doing fun educational activities everyday with my two year old and 8 month old so most days we just end up in their rooms playing with toys or going to the park as much as we can. I do remember doing a lot of fun activities and crafts growing up with my mom and because of that I would love to be organized enough to have those planned at least twice a week and now that I know about Surprise Ride I can have some help with this educational activity planning.
Surprise Ride is great.
It is a monthly box that comes with activities that have to do with that month’s theme. The recommended ages for the Surprise Ride box is 6-11 but my 2 year old loved all the fun things we got in our box and I loved doing them all with her and I am 23, I even learned a few things too.
The theme of our box was bees and how they help the planet.
The items we got were:
- A cat in the Hat book
- Some organic cookies and honey sticks and a plate, which I realized went with the sunflower supplies.
- A sunflower kit (not shown was a paint brush and small paint containers with a few different colors).
- Supplies to make our own beeswax candles
- A Frisbee
- An information pamphlet about why bees are important
My daughter loved the treats.
They were a good distraction while I did some of the activities she couldn’t do, like rolling the candles.
One thing in the box that my 2 year old was able to do with no help was painting the plate and bucket for the sunflower.
She had so much fun using all the different colors to give both items life. She also loves reading her new book about bees. The pictures are so colorful and it is from a show she enjoys watching every now and then so she already knows the characters in the book.
I really enjoyed Surprise Ride and will probably start signing up to get a new box every month. Its great to be able to do some fun activities with my daughter but have them all be so educational.

It would be fun to have a monthly themed box with activities to do together with all the needed supplies provided. How neat!

One of the hardest parts of doing activities with kids is having to go out and buy the supplies so this is an awesome bonus!

It would provide educational and fun themed entertainment without me having to do the research and shopping!
