Now that school has started up, between school, homework and extracurricular activities, it is hard to find time to spend one on one time with the kids especially doing something fun. Even with my two year old it is hard to find fun activities to fill up our days especially when we are stuck inside because of the crazy Georgia fall rain. One activity that my two year old does love to do any time of the day for any length of time is cook and bake with her mom and dad, and Krusteaz has helped a lot with helping me with ideas of what to bake with her.
One day about a week ago I decided to get out our Krusteaz cookie box stash and let my daughter pick out one to make.
She of course picked the Triple Chocolate Chunk cookies and I of course agreed because who doesn’t love some chocolate? I also loved how on the back of the box it had different options of how to make the cookies. So instead of making regular cookies we made cookie bars which was a lot less messier and was a lot faster than doing individual balls of cookie.
There were so many ways I was able to let my daughter participate in the cookie making.
She cracked the eggs,
she mixed the ingredients,
she stopped to take some selfies with mom,
and she helped enjoy the final product, which by the way was delicious even though I normally don’t like dark chocolate, I still loved these cookies.
I had so much fun spending this time with my daughter.
We were able to do something we both love to do, bake, and make so many memories while doing it. I couldn’t have asked for a better day with my beautiful daughter than baking and enjoying some delicious Krusteaz cookies.
Even my daughter agrees that we had a good time!

I would FIND time to make these cookies! Life is too hectic today and it’s important to spend time with the little ones while they’re still little. My godson would have a blast making these (he’s in a baking stage currently!). By the way, your daughter is adorable.
You are so right! Time is so precious. Thank you!
My son loves to help me make cookies we do back to school every year! I love baking with him and would squeeze in any one on one time I can while he is still young enough to!
Any time that I can spend time with my kiddos is a great time but baking is the best. This makes it fun and easy yet cuts corners and still taste homemade.
I think after school would be a good time to make cookies and have them for an after-school treat.
I always have time to cook with my kids. My two Daughters especially love helping me in the kitchen. They help with the casseroles, cake mixes and pancakes among many recipes. They like to add the ingredients, mix, and add toppings. It’s important to have the little ones help out in the kitchen, they learn so much! I feel it gives them great cooking skills for when they grow up and get out on their own. My 10 year old can scramble eggs all by her self, no help what so ever from start to finish and they are delicious too! I would love to make these cookies with my kids.
I would make sure making cookies with my grandsons fit into our schedule! This would be a great thing to do on a rainy weekend day together!

How would making Krusteaz cookies with the kids fit into your schedule?
Somedays, I know I’m not up for getting out of the house. But it can be just as exhausting to find ways to entertain the kids indoors all day! We LOVE to bake cookies as a way to spend time together and have a tasty treat. It makes every day better 🙂 Especially rainy days or tired days stuck at home!
