Pearhead Handprint Canvas Set Review and Giveaway

07/31/2014 By Ashley 26 Comments

I love handprint Crafts. It is fun to do new ones and look back on the old ones to see how much your child or children have grown over the years. The most recent handprint craft I did was a whole family one about a week ago. It was on a handprint canvas set from a company called Pearhead. It was such an easy craft and so cute.

on the wall

Right now we only have three people to do the handprints but in December sometime there will be a teeny tiny little hand print in the middle of the orange canvas.

Supplies

Above are all the supplies that come with the Set:

-4 canvases, we got the blue set but there is a pink set that has two pink canvases instead of two blue

-2 tubes of paint

-a shallow dish

-a paint brush

-instructions

This was really super simple and only took about 10 minutes and that is only because of a couple fiascos that happened so it probably should have only taken between 3-5 minutes for our three person family.

The first fiasco that happened was that when we put our daughter’s hand in the paint and then put it on the canvas she turned her hand so it ended up being a huge blob that looked nothing like a hand. I saw what happened and was a little sad because I thought that it was ruined and there was nothing we could do but my husband, being the cool headed and smart guy that he is, took the canvas and rinsed it off. The paint came right off. If you look at the first picture, it was the orange canvas, you can’t even tell that any paint has ever touched the canvas.

Paint in Hair

Above is a picture of the second fiasco. Before I could even clean my daughter’s hand off with a baby wipe she had gotten paint all over he shirt, her other hand and her hair. Again being the worry wart that I am I immediately thought the worst, that this was going to take a very long or even multiple baths to get out of her hair. I was wrong again. We hopped into the shower and as soon as her head was under the water the paint came right out. After washing her hair once it was all totally gone. Pearhead absolutely knew what they were doing when they chose the paint for this project.

The only thing that my husband thought could be better about this handprint canvas set was to make the paint dish bigger. We had no problem fitting my daughter’s hand in the dish but there was no way he could ever fit his hand in there.

I really liked this product and I smile every time I see it hanging on my wall, the first thing that has gone up on our walls in our apartment! It also makes me even more excited for my little boy to get here!

Pearhead is giving away one handprint canvas set to one of our lucky readers! Just enter below and you could be making cute handprint memories with your family!
