Fairy Tale High Dolls – Are more than just dolls-with ebooks and webisodes!

I have 3 daughters and I’d dare say that at least 80% of my day is filled with princesses one way or another! Between princess shoes, constantly helping them in and out of princess dress ups, to even making princess crown shaped pancakes for a special lunch…..they are ALL about princesses! When I saw these Fairy Tale High dolls I knew they would be a HUGE hit at my house if the girls got them for Christmas! Have you heard of Fairy Tale High Dolls? Before any of the princesses met their prince they went to a special high school-called Fairy Tale High-these dolls have their own ebooks, webisodes, and cool accessories!

Fairy Tale High dolls are recommended for ages 3+ due to some of the small (but very cool) accessories. I chose Teen Tinker Bell for my 7 year old and Teen Cinderella for my 5 year old. Those are their 2 favorites, so it was an easy choice for me!

These dolls are just stunning, I love the colorful hair, outfits, and makeup. My almost 3 year and I opened the dolls together one day while the “big girls” were at school. We opened Teen Cindy (Cinderella) first! I was pleasantly surprised how EASY it was to open the package and remove the doll. (Have you ever had a Christmas where you spend 20 minutes trying to “open” a toy after it has been unwrapped? Yikes-it drives me nuts!) The packaging was SO easy to take apart and I REALLY appreciated that! The accessories that came with Teen Cindy were just COOL! I LOVED the headphones and iPod!

fairytale high cindy earphonesThe glass slippers were a really nice touch too! It was fun to tie in her common known Cinderella story with the “teenage” Cinderella we were playing with. Plus, the shoes were pretty and fun to play with!

Then we opened Teen Tink. Again, the packaging was easy to open and she was stunning!

Tinkerbell comes with a bracelet, shoes, and detachable wings! Awesome, Right?

Once we had Teen Cindy and Teen Tink out, we were ready to play!

My daughter and I headed to the barbie house. (Note about me: when I was a kid I played barbies for hours with my sister every day–it was our favorite thing to do, I am so glad that my kids like to play with them because I have never grown out of my love for playing–and I am getting old!) I played with Cindy and she played with Tink. After the LONG trip to the barbie house we decided that our dolls were tired and needed to take a nap right away. Teen Cindy was asked by her Mom to babysit her little sister–she still listened to her music holding the baby:

After a 15 second nap Tink came in to visit Cindy and her little sister.

My daughter and I played for 30 minutes until we went to make lunch. We had so much fun!

(fun note: this is the barbie house that my parents made for me and my sister when we were young. Last year for Christmas my parents re-decorated it and gave it to my girls!)

I noticed that the dolls didn’t bend at the waist like a traditional barbie-but bent at the legs. I didn’t mind that it didn’t bend, but it was different than what I was used to. What I LOVED about these dolls was the movement in the hands/arms. They were bendable in several places, which made for some extra fun play! Do you see how Tink has a bend at her wrist, elbow and shoulder? Love it!

I know my girls are going to FLIP over these! They are gorgeous and have the trendiest clothes, hairstyles and designer shoes. There was only 1 thing about these dolls that I didn’t love. That was the belly button showing. I know a lot of teens do show their midsection and that is their choice-it is the trend after all. Although, it is a trend that I would LOVE my girls to never take part in. 🙂 Right now my girls are at VERY impressionable ages. I don’t want them to think that when they get to High School that is what they should wear. This is a just a personal feeling-and perhaps a little silly to some. I love the dolls and I know my girls will too, so I decided to help Cindy out by painting a tank top on her with white nail polish. (I’ve done this on barbies in the past too!)

I did it after lunch. It was easy to do–it only took 2 coats of polish and I was happy with the results!

    I like the Teen Snow White the commercial calls her Apple White but I don’t see that in the picture 🙂 Love these dolls would love to win one for my little princess!

    These are funny most of the Disney Princesses are already teens! Rapunzel is turning 18! Sorry just think it’s funny. That’s the doll I would pick though. Rapunzel is a fav at our house!

    I really liked the Snow white and Cinderella!
    But what I really loved on the Fairy tale High page was the trail of stars wherever you moved your cursor!! ( i might have gotten distracted and spelled my name once or twice!)
