8 Fun & Unique Halloween Hairstyle Ideas For Kids

With Halloween just a few days away, I was pondering on fun and unique things I could do with my kids. I came up with some great ideas, like baking spooky treats, “Booing” our friends, and even hosting a fun neighborhood party. Then the idea came to me to look up fun ways to dress up, without actually dressing up.

8 Fun and Unique Halloween Hairstyles for kidsIt was like a light went on in my mind, and with a click of my mouse I was swept away to Pinterest. Suddenly I had never-ending ideas that inspired this post for fun and unique Halloween Hairstyles!  The beauty of these hairstyles, is that they can also be used for any wacky hair day at school, or when the need for creativity in style arises.

Take a look at the ideas I have listed below. Which one is your favorite?

8 Fun and Unique Halloween Hairstyle Ideas for Kids

 1. Spider Braids
Halloween Hairstyle Spider BraidsThis Halloween hairstyle is a fun and easy idea.  The spiders are plastic rings that can be found at most retail stores, possibly even the Dollar Store. The concept behind this can be used in a lot of different ways by using different plastic rings. I think it is such a cute idea.

2. Octopus Hairstyle

Halloween Hairstyle Octopus

Create a simple bun and add some pipe cleaners, then BAM!  You have yourself an octopus hairstyle.

3. Eyes on You

This halloween hairstyle may take a little more time than some of the others, but it definitely will turn heads and make people smile. To do this one, I would recommend getting a package of variety size googly eyes and some karo syrup.  I would adorn the back of the eyes with the syrup and stick it on like glue.  The syrup should hold well and wash out easily.

4. Little Mermaid

Halloween Hairstyle Little MermaidUsing a fishtail braid for the tail, this style will be a huge hit for any little mermaid fans out there.  A little spray on hair color and a printed picture transforms your hair into a beautiful mermaid.

5. The Creeper

Halloween Hairstyle the CreeperThis Halloween hairstyle takes, “you look like a creep” to a whole new level. Ha!  A can of hair color spray and a cut out stencil, to use for the creeper face, should do the trick.

6. Octopus Braids

Halloween Hairstyle Octopus BraidsIf you have long hair, this Halloween hairstyle would be adorable to wear around town.  Using a sock-bun and some googly eyes, this unique hairstyle is quick and easy to create!

7. The Spider Web

Halloween Hairstyle The Spider WebGrab a fake spider web and some hairspray, and you get this fun and unique look.  This look can be worn on a boy or a girl.  If I were to do it on my girls, I would create a bun and cover it with the spider web material.

8. Minnie Mouse Ears

Halloween Hairstyle Minnie Mouse EarsThis is probably one of the most complex styles posted.  However, if you follow the detailed tutorial that is linked you should be able to accomplish it. I would love to see pictures of this one, so please share any pictures of this one with us if you do it.

If you give any of these a try this year, I would love know. Leave a comment and share your experiences with me. Feel free to also share your pictures with me on Facebook!  Happy Haunting, friends!
