Having multiple children, ages 1 to 8, creates some scheduling conflicts with nap time. Staying at home in a controlled environment allowing my baby to sleep well is difficult, but when you mix in the fact that we can’t always be at home because we need to go places, nap time was almost impossible.
We are constantly on the go spending all our free time with friends, swimming, at parks, or vacationing. Fulfilling the demands of my older children really put a huge burden on my baby’s sleep schedule. Using the sleep shade by SnoozeShade increased the quality of nap time for my baby, no matter where we were.
The sleep shade comes in a small, light bag and is easy to take with us when we were out and about. Paired with a pack-n-play, I typically leave it in my car so I always have it available when needed. I now never have to stress about leaving an event early or taking my older children away from their fun activities because of naptime.
I set up my pack-n-play and drape the sleep shade over top in just moments. When my baby needs to take a nap, I simply lay her down and zip the top cover of the sleep shade up so she can have a dark and comfortable place to sleep, even during the brightest part of the day.
The sleep shade allows for different levels of darkness using fabric panels that can be secured on the top and sides. The fabric is lightweight and almost mesh-like. I found that it was best to have the side panels open for proper ventilation when we were outdoors in hot weather. However in the cool of the afternoon or evening, having the side panels down was ideal.
