If you didn’t know already, monthly subscription boxes are one of my new favorite things. I love seeing the delivery truck pull into my driveway, it is like Christmas comes every time a box is dropped off. Another thing I love are books. I would read books all day if I could, with or without my children. That is why I was so excited when I heard about Crafty BookBox ,which was provided to me in exchange for my honest opinion, because it combined those two favorite things!
With Crafty Book Box you get a box monthly with enough craft supplies for two kids, if you have more kids you can add on additional supplies for a small cost.
The crafts are aimed towards children ages 3-8 and are always related to the provided book. My daughter was at the young side of that, she is 3, and so there were a couple things I did need to help with but I can see how a child closer to 6 would have no problem completing the crafts all on their own.
One of my favorite parts of the Crafty BookBox is that it comes with a hardcover book.
The book being hardcover makes it so much more sturdy and able to withstand a little bit of beating from my destructive children. It was also fun to get a book that I have not even heard of before, especially with my children’s book collection being well over 100 books. Another awesome fact about this company is that it’s owner is a school librarian so every month’s book is going to be a great book.
I also love how I don’t have to go to the store to buy anything, the only thing I needed to provide for the craft were some scissors but of course I already had some at home. Everything else for the craft was provided with either the exact amount needed or more.
The Crafty BookBox came with easy to follow instructions that included pictures.
I could really tell that those who put together and send out the Crafty Bookboxes really put in a lot of care and thought by doing the crafts themselves first and taking instruction pictures so that they can make sure their subscribers are able to complete the crafts in the same way.
My daughter loved putting together her own Jump so she could have a special buddy to read the story with.
Even my 18 month old son wanted to help, so I let him stuff the cotton balls into his own bunny. My daughter was able to complete the majority of the crafts with just a little bit of help from me.
I thought the crafts turned out so cute!
Now both my son and daughter have a cute bunny to have with them whenever we read our new book! It is also so much more fun to know that the new toy my kids are enjoying are something they made themselves.
What book would you love to see in a monthly box of Crafty BookBox? Who in your life do you know would love to get a Crafty BookBox every month?
