Why the Boppy Pillow Should be on Your Baby Must Have List

The Boppy Pillow has been a baby must have for as long as I can remember. I used one when my daughter was a baby four years ago and now I am excited to be sharing my review of this product with you and how it is going to help me with my baby that is now on the way.

*I received the following product in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Boppy Pillow comes in different textures and designs.

It comes in the bare naked pillow (with no cover), the classic and the luxe. The pillow we got is the Luxe. This particular pillow comes in four different patterns. One of the things I liked about their patterns was that they weren’t all gender specific. Two of the four pillows were gender neutral prints. This was great for us because we are waiting to find out the gender so it would have been bad to have had to choose a pink one and then have a son or a blue one and then have a girl.

The Luxe has a different pattern and texture on either side.

On the top of the pillow it is soft and on the bottom it is like the classic, kind of like the same texture as a bed sheet. It is nice that the pillow isn’t so busy, there is one side with less going on so to not over stimulate anyone who is using the pillow. We have had one Boppy before this one and it was the classic. From what I can tell with the luxe I am liking it a lot more and would say that the extra $10 is worth it.

This is my daughter using our Boppy pillow from a little less than five years ago.

The best part about the Boppy is that it has more than one use. First and foremost it is a nursing pillow. When I had my daughter I didn’t use it as much for this purpose since I didn’t end up being able to breastfeed her very long. But it could also be used for an arm support while feeding them a bottle which we didn’t realize at the time. We will however use it for this purpose this time around.

Our favorite use of the Boppy was using it to support our daughter in a sitting position. She loved being able to look around the room and it was comfortable for her as well. Another use is for tummy time, my daughter hated tummy time unless it was with her Boppy. It can later be used when the baby has learned to sit on their own as well.

Which way do you think you would use the Boppy the most? Who do you know who would love to receive a Boppy this Christmas? Let us know in the comments!
