10 St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Trap Ideas

I have noticed that recently I am starting to get more into the “smaller” holidays (at least they seem smaller in my eyes) than I have in the past and I know the reason for that is because I have kids. There are so many fun activities to do with kids that have to do with holidays and there is usually a holiday going on at anytime of the year so if you are having a hard time thinking of something fun to do with your kids just look up the closest holiday and do something related to that! The soonest holiday to today is St. Patrick’s day. Growing up the only thing I ever did to celebrate this holiday was march in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in NYC but now that I have kids I wanted to try out some new holiday fun and maybe even start some new traditions.

The new tradition I thought would be fun to start with my kids was an idea I heard of from a church friend. She is really big into celebrating all the holidays with her kids in fun ways, especially St Patrick’s Day and April Fools Day, and one of my favorite activities that she does every year with her kids is one for St. Patrick’s Day called a Leprechaun trap. Her kids and her spend time together one day during March and they build a trap to catch a Leprechaun because if you catch a Leprechaun then they have to give you all their gold! Obviously you will not catch a real Leprechaun because there are none but it is a fun way to spend some creative time with your kids.

To help you out with how you should go about making a Leprechaun trap I found 10 Leprechaun traps that I thought looked very fun. Check them out and good luck on all your Leprechaun trapping adventures!
