One thing that I worried about when my daughter was a newborn was her getting cold at night because I didn’t put blankets on her, keeping a loose blanket out of the crib during the first months is one of the ways recommended for preventing SIDS. We would swaddle her but after she was about 2-3 months she could easily get an arm and leg out of any swaddle we put her in. With my son we won’t have to worry about this because we have a cozy basics sleep bag from Wee Urban.
This sleep bag is a great way to insure that young babies in risk of SIDS stay safe and warm throughout the night. Some of the features I enjoy about this sleep bag are:
-Machine washable and tumble dry
-Two way zipper for easy diaper changes
-It is long so it can be used for an extended amount of time, the size I got can be used from 0 months all the way up to 6 months.
-They even say that material is made so that it will look “amazing” wash after wash.
I don’t have a baby to put in the sleep bag yet, I will within this week, but I would recommend this to other moms. It is a great option for keeping your baby warm during these cold winter days and nights!
