It is Monday, February 4 the day after the SuperBowl. I don’t know about you but I have mixed feelings about the football season finally being over. On the one side I will get my couch and TV back on Sundays. But on the other side my husband will be hanging around with nothing to do staring me for next several months or so.
Speaking of the power going off. Wow that was a downer and threw a monkey wrench in our plans. We weren’t planning on staying at the party that long and the 30-40 minute delay kind of messed things up a bit. Our kids had to wake up for school the next day and we were not to fond of keeping them up that late. My husband didn’t want to leave though. He said going from the big movie screen to our TV would be such a let down. So we stayed. The rest of the game turned out to be very exciting. As my husband would later say, “That was one of the strangest yet best Super Bowl I have ever seen”. I must admit I wasn’t paying much attention to the ending. As soon as the game ended everyone pretty much put their coats on and said their goodbyes. Overall it was a great time to be had by all. What more could you ask for: good friends, good food and excellent entertainment. Actually there is one more thing I could think of. I would ask for the day after the super bowl to be a national holiday so we can have a day off todayJ
