Giveaway OVER! See winners below!
If you are planning a family reunion, have a business you want to promote, or are just looking to make a customized t-shirt WhoopTee is the place to go online to get it done! I’ve recently had a chance to design custom t shirts for this blog and I had a BLAST doing it!
Their design tool is super user friendly and the possibilities are endless! You start be selecting the style of shirt you want to create. They have long sleeve shirts, women’s shirts, men’s shirts, hoodies, hi densi-T-T shirts, cotton shirts, knit shirts….there are SO many to choose from! Once you choose a style then you get to choose a color! Look at all of these color options:
Once you choose the style and color then you get to design your own custom t shirts on whooptee.com! I started by adding words. I knew I wanted it to say I Love My Kids (since that is our blog name!), I used the text tool in the designer area to easily add the text. See the yellow bubble? It says enter your text here. If you want text to appear on different lines, then you need to add them separately.
After I got I Love My Kids written I decided that I wanted a heart instead of the word LOVE. So I clicked on the “Add Art” button. It gave me 2 options, I could add a template or add clipart. The Templates were really cool, they had so many to choose from to make it look like an “official” t-shirt that you would have bought. Since I didn’t need a cool design, just a heart I clicked to add clipart. (*Note: you can also add your own design)
I was pleased to find that there were 9 different hearts available for me to choose from. I chose a black one first and made my words red. On the right side of the designer tool you can see how all of my “elements” that I added are there, this makes it really easy to click the red X and delete them one at a time if I want to make any changes.
Although I did like this style I decided I wasn’t loving the blue color and the heart was a little too big. So with a simple click I changed the color of the shirt to yellow. I also found that I could change the font, color, AND the size of the words/clipart. I circled those 2 great features in blue in the picture below.
I was really liking how this was looking, but then I figured with the placement of the the I and the heart it might end up looking funny on my upper body, well maybe not funny, but certainly draw attention to an area that already gets a lot of attention. I decided I need to make another change. So I changed the heart and the color again to this design.
I was about ready to click to send this in to be ordered but then I looked at the lower left corner and realized I could design on the back too! I did another complete change and added the blog url to the backside of the next shirt I designed. What I LOVED about this designer tool on WhoopTee is that it was SO easy to use! I was also able to save each of my designs so in the end I was able to go back and make sure I was getting the one I liked most! This is handy especially if you need to get the shirt approved by a boss or voted on by your family!
I was very happy with this shirt then decided I should go for the more flattering ladies “fitted” shirt. I made a few changes, moved the entire design to the back of the shirt, added our tag line, more color, and chose a darker shirt color. After this step, I KNEW I had it exactly how I wanted it!
When it came time to order the shirt WhoopTee had a size chart, so I was SURE I was going to get the perfect fit! I did some measurements and ordered my shirt. About a week later I received my shirt just as I was headed out the door for a weekend family getaway to Grandma’s house! I wanted to wear it right away, so I changed into it. It was so gorgeous outside (60 perfect degrees!) that we couldn’t help but stop outside and play in the leaves before we went in to see Grandma! My 5 year old loved taking pictures and snapped this one of me, here is the front of the shirt.
The designed back part of it turned out exactly as I made it! It fit great!
