Being a first time parent is always very hard with all the changes that happen so quickly. My little girl is about to make transition from her crib to a toddler bed, I can’t believe it’s already around that time! When I started realizing that it was time to switch I instantly searched for some genuine and unique toddler beds. When I heard about KidKraft I knew they were the ones I needed to help me with the transitioning of my daughter!
KidKraft also has tons of other things like little kitchens, play houses, little chairs, cubby storage, and plenty more! You have to check out their whole line of products! It’s every kids dream to have almost everything on the site! Look here to see what else KidKraft has!
Isn’t this bed absolutely gorgeous? Every time I see it I always think the same thing, “it’s so elegant looking.” I mean look at it, doesn’t it just have an elegance about it? I think so! It is made out of wood and is just beautiful! This particular model is called, Raleigh Toddler Bed. It also comes in white and espresso. I had to get pink for my daughter. She loves pink. Well, I am not sure if she does love pink or not, but I am definitely forcing her to love it!
Once I came in contact with KidKraft I got this in the mail in about 5 days! I wasn’t expecting it to arrive that soon! I even forgot it was coming for a time, but it was very nice to get a little surprise at my door. I give major kudos to the company for such fast delivery for a large item!
This box was heavy! I can’t remember what the weight said but I think it was around 35-40ish pounds. I couldn’t wait to dig into this bed to put it together!
This is all the pieces it came with. It took us about 25 minutes to put the whole bed together. It was easy, and the instructions were word for word, and step by step.
Once we got it put together, I was able to lift it by myself. (In an awkward hold kind of way.) It is very lightweight, but, was VERY sturdy as well. Sturdy enough that I could lay on it as well. (It’s not recommended, but I had to try it once just in case it fell apart while my daughter was lying on it!) Once I got off, I was sure it was safe enough for my daughter to sleep in.
My favorite part of the bed is the side rails. I like how the bed doesn’t have bars for the rails, instead they have the solid wood. That makes me as a parents feel more comforted that my daughter won’t get her head stuck by trying to fit in between rails. The bed also has NO space in between the mattress and the sides, which is GREAT. Again, this makes me feel better that she won’t try to put her arms, head, or event her legs stuck in between them.
Another plus about this bed is that my daughters crib mattress fits in the bed! I was so glad I didn’t have to go out and buy complete new bed set, and mattress.
My daughter absolutely LOVES her bed! Right when we got it together we put her in it and she just played on it for 20 minutes straight! She is loving the freedom of getting on and off the bed all by herself. As of now, we are just letting her takes naps in her new bed. We are going slow and easy with the transition, which is good for her and for my husband and I!
KidKraft has generously offered to give away one (1) Raleigh toddler bed in Espresso color! Suitable for either a boy or girl!
