Just about every morning before I begin my day I really enjoy sitting down and drinking a hot cup of coffee. There is nothing like a quiet house, a bright sunny day and the taste of good coffee.
Maybe it’s the caffeine that gives me that uppity feeling or maybe it is just the aroma and warmth of it. Coffee in the mornings has been a part of my ritual for many years. And over those years I have tried many different brands of coffee. From the store brand to the gourmet mail order kind, to the coffee house made and the kind from the donut shop. Some have been great while others had to be poured down the sink drain. So I would say I have developed a pretty good skill for determining the quality of a coffee.
Café Don Pablo a gourmet coffee company recently sent me several of their coffee brands to review.
They sent to me several varieties of their coffee beans. To me the best coffee comes from grinding the coffee beans right before you brew your coffee. If you have never tried grounding your own coffee beans than you really don’t know what you’re missing. Okay so back to Dan Pablo’s coffee beans. They sent me bags of their Signature Blend; Arabica roasted coffee beans, Whole Bean Decaf Colombian, Don Pablo Organic Roast, and Whole Bean Guatemala Roast.
At the top of each bag were tiny vents that allowed me to smell each of the types of beans. Once I took a smell of each one I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma’s of all of the coffee blends was smooth and alluring. I first started out with the Organic Roast beans. I used my husbands mini-coffee grinder and ground the beans to a coarse consistency.
I then put them into my coffee press and added boiling water. After several minutes I pressed the plunger on the press and poured the coffee into a mug. The aroma was very pleasing and I couldn’t wait to taste it. Wow is all I can say. A big resounding “WOW”. The organic roast beans coffee from Dan Pablo was smooth, yet vibrant with no bitter after taste.
After having a second cup some time later I was in coffee heaven. This really set up my day nicely and I couldn’t wait to share my findings with my family who are also a bunch of coffee aficionados.
Over the course of the next several days I tried the other coffee beans from Don Pablo with similar results. They were all very smooth and vibrant like the organic blend. However if I had to pick a bean that was my favorite I would have to go with the Organic Roast. Not only was it very flavorful but also it is organic which fits into my healthy lifestyle. Overall I would highly recommend Don Pablo Coffee to all of my readers. If you haven’t tried this brand of coffee I would highly recommend to give it a try.
