Black and white might be one of the key trends this summer, but if you prefer a little color in your life, there’s plenty to choose from. Bold colors and vivid acid tones are around in all the shops for 2013, so from graphic tops to patterned leggings, you can add a splash of color to your summer wardrobe.
Do you know what colors suit you? Your skin and hair tone can change drastically depending on what color you’re wearing. Even if we don’t have an exact idea of what colors are best for us, we often feel better in some colors than others. If you’re not sure, try some out in the changing room so that you can see which make you look best, and listen to what others say about you. That way, you’ll have an idea of which colors to stick to and which to avoid.
Fortunately, no matter what colors are best for your wardrobe, you’ll be able to find them in this summer’s collections. Although very bright and acid colors are definitely in, retailers also have a wide range of other shades available, so with careful accessorizing, and using colors from this summer to boost what’s already in your wardrobe, you should be able to find exactly what you want.
Don’t forget that you don’t have to be dressed in a single color from head to toe in order to make an impact. In fact, just adding a hint of color here or there can make you look just as summery. For example, you can choose a plain white dress, and add your zing of color with hot pink shoes and a matching bag – although any color will do! Or look for clothes that use colors to real effect – there are some great tops on the market at the moment that either make use of a single, bold block color or use large patterns really effectively to create shape and impact and go very well together with womens jeans.
The most important thing may be to match your colors so that you’re not wearing slightly different shades of the same colour, or that the plain ladies jacket you’ve bought to go over a bold, stripy dress isn’t too dull for the look you want. Pay a little attention to the details, including the accessories you wear, and you’ll find that this summer could be bigger and brighter than ever.
