Okay its still winter and although the days are starting to warm up a bit the nights are still pretty cold. During the winter I always get that chill in my bones that just doesn’t seem to go away. One thing that helps me is drinking hot tea and a nice cup or bowl of soup. As a kid I remember my mom taking a can of Campbell’s® soup out of the pantry and heating it up on the stove. There were such good times sitting around the kitchen table dipping buttered bread into my cream of chicken soup or savoring a nice chicken noodle soup. Yummy good. Recently I was introduced to a new type of Campbell’s soup. It is called Campbell’s Slow Kettle Style Soups.
And let me tell you these are some really good soups. After eating them I have to say it is hard to believe that they were not freshly made in your kitchen. Although I wasn’t impressed with all the flavors like “Portobello Mushroom & Madeira Bisque with shallots, thyme & sage” tasted highly processed. “Tomato & Sweet Basil Bisque with Fresh Cream & Ground Red Pepper” is super sweet and contains 50 grams of sugar.
There are some great flavors such as savory “Kickin Crab & Sweet Corn Chowder”
and my favorite “Roasted Chicken & Chardonnay with fire-roasted tomatoes, aged parmesan & pasta” YUM!!
Now that name is surely a mouthful, no pun intended. All kidding aside these new Slow Kettle Style Soups from Campbell’s are great and you should try some of your favorite flavors.
