I received one or more of the products mentioned above to facilitate my review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I was recently asked to review a product that seems very interesting. It is a circular LED centerpiece light base. You probably asking yourself what is she talking about. So let me explain a little bit about this product before I tell you what I think about it. It is a round plastic device about the same diameter as a paper plate and about the same thickness as a bar of soap. Party planners have used the light base concept for years to brighten up any type of event.
The light base allows you to light up floral displays, glass centerpieces, crystals, ice sculptures, punch bowls and more. For example at home I have this glass cylinder about 1 foot high and 6 inches in diameter.
I put two sparkly holiday ornament balls into the cylinder and then placed it on top of the light base. When I turned the light base on the different colored led lights shined through the bottom of the cylinder and up through it.
As the colors changed they flowed through the cylinder and out onto the ceiling and surrounding walls. It was really a magical display of light right there on my kitchen table.
One could only imagine all of the interesting possibilities that can come from this battery operated LED base light display. I was thinking that it would really create a festive atmosphere at any holiday dinner party or birthday party celebration. The applications are only limited by your imagination. Since the LED base is battery operated you could pretty much put it anywhere. I was imagining putting one under a couple of bottles of wine that are being chilled in a glass ice bucket. That would certainly be eye catching and a good conversation starter.
The light display can be set to alternating between several different colors or it can be set to constant. I preferred the alternating color option since it gave the appearance of motion in the room. My next project for this LED light base is to get a bag of glass marbles and place them in my glass cylinder. I wonder what fascinating light display will come out. I recommend this to all of my readers who are looking to jazz up their holiday parties or any party for that matter.
