When you were a kid did you ever wonder or imagine what it would be like to be able to make your own toys?  Did you ever want to have a unique toy that no one else had?  Well there is a company out there that will let you do this if you like.  The company is called Happy Toy Machine and can be found at http://www.happytoymachine.com/.  They contacted me to review their website and toy creating process. 

            After explaining this to my son he was more than eager to get on the website and create a new stuffed animal.  I should be clear currently the website allows you to create plush stuffed animals, robots, monsters and charms (plushlings). When some people hear the word toy they may have another image in mind.  Anyway my son went to work as I stood behind him watching him navigate their website.  We noticed that the site was very user friendly from the start.  You first have to choose between three categories of stuffed animals the “mixalots”, the “smushimals” or the “plushlings”.

My son chose the smushimal.  After that you have to choose a type of smushimal that you would like your creation to be. 

            After that you go to a page where you select the type of ears, fins, tails, and wings.  Here you can also pick the color of your creation.  Next you have to choose the type of eyes, nose, eyebrows, facial features and mouth for your smushimal. The size, orientation and color of these features can also be manipulated.  You can also choose a body art pattern for your smushimal.  I watched my son for 30 minutes while he went through so many different variations and choices available for his smushimal. 

            At the end he was allowed to name his toy, chose its sex, birth date, favorite foods, hobbies and more.  This part of the process was a very interesting experience and I could see that my son really enjoyed having such a huge role in making his smushimal. 

This is my son’s custom smushimal that he created. He chose puppy with green color because his favorite color is green.

            Within a week his creation arrived in the mail.  He was so eager to open up that package and see his new smushimal in person.  He was not disappointed.  The smushimal looked exactly like the one he had created on the screen.  It was made of very high quality material and was very soft.  In comparing it to some of his other stuffed animals I would say that it is made of a much superior quality of materials. I was also happy to see the “Made in USA” tag attached to it.

            In conclusion I would highly recommend Happy Toy Machine to all of my readers who are looking to provide their child or loved ones with a truly unique experience.  They will be able to take part in designing their own toy, which is just a wonderful experience.
