OcuFresh Eye Wash review

It the summer, which means time for barbecues, swimming, the beach, hiking and many other outdoor activities. It also means dust, pollen, sand, chlorine and smoke getting into your eyes.  All of these things can irritate your eyes and make a great day unpleasant.  Sometimes using simple eye drops can offer some relief and sometimes you just feel like there was someway to wash your eyeball.  I was recently contacted by a company, which offers a product called OcuFresh Eye Wash.  They offer two uses for their product.  One for urgent situations such as getting a foreign object, chemical or chlorine in your eyes.  Or for everyday use to give your eyes a refreshing feeling.  What I liked is the product claims to be preservative free.
I received this product along with a variety of other eye drops and eye care supplements that the company Optics Laboratory sells.
I was eager to give the OccuFresh Eye Wash a try since my eyes were really bothering me from all the pollen and dust in the air.  The eyewash package came with an eyecup and 6 single use bottles of eyewash liquid.  From reading the container the eyewash liquid is 99.1% purified water and 0.9% sodium chloride.  It is basically a saline solution if I remember my chemistry correctly.  As per the instruction I filled the eyecup half way with the liquid.  I then held it firmly against my eye and tilted my head backwards. At first a little liquid dripped out, but after putting more pressure on the cup it stopped.  I then opened my eye and began moving my eyeball around.  It was a very strange feeling at first but also familiar.  My eyeballs felt cool and immediately refreshed and clean.  Then I remembered that familiar feeling.  It was the same feeling I got when using the emergency eye wash station in 8th grade woodshop.  I had gotten some sawdust in my eyes and the teacher helped me wash my eyes out.

Anyway getting back to the OccuFresh Eye Wash overall I think it is a great product.  It can be very useful in emergency situations or when you just get a foreign object in your eye.  It is also good for a once in a while rinse to get your eyes feeling back to normal and refreshed.  I would give OcuFresh Eye Wash two thumbs up and highly recommend it for having around the house.
